The White House announced Friday that the Trump administration would implement its ban on all transgender service in the military "except under certain limited circumstances." It would also stop all use of Defense Department or Homeland Security resources to fund new sex reassignment surgeries, except to protect the health of individuals who have already begun treatment to reassign his or her sex. The announcement was expected, since it was part of President Trump's executive memo in August 2017 renewing a former transgender military service.
According to the White House memo, "transgender persons with a history or diagnosis of gender dysphoria -- individuals who the policies state may require substantial medical treatment, including medications and surgery -- are disqualified from military service except under certain limited circumstances."
The memo further states "the Secretary of Defense, and the Secretary of Homeland Security, with respect to the U.S. Coast Guard, may exercise their authority to implement any appropriate policies concerning military service by transgender individuals."

And of course, the upcoming SCOTUS vacancies. Why would any GOP voters stay home, with the prospect of majority leader Putz Schumer deciding, for example, that Merrick Garland is the only acceptable replacement for Clarence Thomas?!

A previous poster reckoned the end of the day as “real Trumpalution”. I’ll hazard a guess and interpret that to mean “triumph”. Reality of the shiny object is far from it. Old saying, “nothing ever so bad that there’s nothing good in it”, does shine through though. Political battle lines are now indelibly defined with Constitutional integrity both a guide and potential victim.

Because the Gross Old Party hasn’t done ANYTHING to deserve even a speck of loyalty from us - and at this point, as far as I’m concerned, they couldn’t earn it back even if they wanted to.
To think that a group of sex-offenders that think they are not the sex they are, or maybe even the species they are, can be given a gun is simply beyond rational thinking. This is Obama’s thinking, not a sane populace. It just goes to show how segments of the population can be convinced to believe anything if the old media and homowood fantasies say it is so.
