I feel so much safer knowing that I can be tracked by the authorities whenever I have my phone on me! /s
So those batteries were not just 'unique', they were 'very unique'.
He must have found them on some secret dark-web site that nobody knows about, like eBay or Alibaba.
Assault batteries, perhaps?
I'm certainly impressed...
High capacity assault batteries?
So we already almost know more about the bomber than we know about the Vegas shooter from months ago.
It is beginning to sound like the government grabbed all cell phone location information on every phone that was near each bombing, and then pulled a list of every phone that had all / most sites in common. If more than one match, you can bet they were ready to SWAT each and every match.
Isn’t it great to know we live in a police state where the 4th amendment is null and void whenever it inconveniences the government?
Frankly the bomber is an admitted killer...end of story. All else just talking points. I truly don’t care how he was or not brought up, or what motivated his actions and all the side issues. He wanted to intentionally kill people and set out to do so numerous times.
Maybe it was from one of those Samsung Galaxy battery batches that have long been recalled? Sans English labeling?
You beat me to it. :-)
What I’d like to know is if Conditt is still “white” or sort of a black, burnt toast color.
Or about the Bernie supporter who shot up the baseball field.
Don’t need to know his name or see his picture.
Just finish the incineration and flush the ashes.
While some of the information that has been released so far may be fairly innocuous, ‘the authorities’ have been releasing quite a lot of detailed information about how they tracked down the bomber, which may serve to alert other IQ-challenged wanna-be copycats as to what to avoid.
The ‘very unique’ assault batteries, for example, is a tip-off that didn’t necessarily have to be widely disclosed. (Inquiring minds wonder - were they perhaps 18650-style or similar lithium cells with solder/welding tabs?)
I’m of two minds on that, though - for example, on the one hand, transparency by ‘the authorities’ is important - on the other hand, although giving out actionable information about investigative techniques and evidence that led to the bomber’s demise might have been inevitable during court proceedings had they captured the perp alive, since they didn’t get him alive, it’s not clear that it served any valid purpose to release such info so widely.
I think that I’d err on the side of transparency, however, because as we’ve seen repeatedly, without that, the presumption is that ‘the authorities’ have all-too-often committed errors or outright unspeakable crimes that they’ve managed get away with due to CYA secrecy. We’ve certainly seen that occur all throughout the Obamunist regime’s tenure (Fast and Furious, FISA-gate, etc.).
At this point, anybody who doesn’t already know that this is a pervasive-surveillance society where legal protections mean next to nothing to ‘the authorities’ must not be paying attention.
In the recording, Manley said the message is rather “the outcry of a very challenged young man talking about challenges in his personal life.”
...
Most likely sexual abnormality which is almost universal among serial killers.
I’m interested in knowing more about his relationship with his senior-FBI, child-molesting dad.
Kinda weird that two high-profile incidents in such a short period of time involve sons of high-level FBI officials, isn’t it?
Yes, I think he was crazy and didnt have any ideological motivation - except that crazy people sometimes hate the good.
The first two people he killed were both black men who seem to have been involved in an altruistic clean up Austin campaign. One package (the elderly Hispanic lady) seems to have been a mistake, and as for the others that were sent through FedEx, their addressees havent been released, nor has the address and residents of the place with the tripwire.
The other weird thing was that he posted angry things about people being punished for too long as sex offenders. His father was a retired FBI agent, who seems to have had the same name as an FBI agent who was removed and imprisoned after his involvement in the sexual abuse of two young pre-teen girls (prior to becoming an FBI agent) was revealed. I dont know if the two names relate to the same person, but if they do, at some point the father had served his sentence and returned to his family.
At this point the facts are unclear, but Id say the bomber was a very angry, reclusive person (home schooled alone by his mother outside of a regular home-school network) who hated the normal world and hated the good because he felt he couldnt join either one of them.
So I dont care, if he werent already dead, Id want him executed immediately, but I think looking at the motivations might be interesting.
If you carry a continuously transmitting radio in your pocket, you are broadcasting on the public air waves and not entitled to “privacy”
A cell phone is a radio transmitter/receiver
Well, there goes my model airplane battery order from hobbyking... (sigh)
