I received an email from my Google/YouTube rep at 9:30pm tonight. He requested an emergency meeting tomorrow to discuss YouTube's new policies regarding firearms content.
This is really bad. Please read this carefully and a couple of times, and let it sink in. 1/3rd of my videos or more will need to be removed. If you don't have them removed in 30 days, your channel will be deleted for policy violations.
I wish this were a joke. It's not. I feel horrible for reloading channels or NFA channels. Showing how to make ammo or even showing the installation of a silencer is prohibited. Hell, showing the use of a magazine larger than 30 rounds is prohibited! Belt feds are a no go.
I'll try to find out as much as I can from my rep tomorrow. I mean, are legal machine guns and silencers being demonstrated really going to get us account strikes now?
Please read this guys... I'm in shock, but then I knew this day wold come. It looks like it's here in 30 days. I'm at a total loss for words. ~Tim

DTube is ROUGH right now as I think they might still be in beta. But if they can pull their shit together quick enough, it will definitely be a viable alternative as Google and all its subsidiaries are going to be toast once IBOR is enacted.
Straight-up high-tech book burning.
1. get an account at https://steemit.com

is youtube going to remove all movies with gun scenes? all war documentaries?
ThankQ for posting the how-to for dtube !
The left was waiting for an excuse to do this. Finally it came. The shooting in Florida was the trigger (groan) to carry out their purge.
No, I just made “OurTube” up (though I’m not likely the first, it’s such a simple name).
Never heard of it.
Who has the bucks to start something like that? Wish I did
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
not as hard as you make it sound
there is stuff out there like CrowdStrike, GoFundMe, and I don’t even follow that stuff.
If you have the vision and the courage this is so much MORE DO-ABLE THAN EVER BEFORE. Just put on your big-boy pants and roll up your sleeves.
Anybody out there listening to the marketplace?
MAGA
Why? We don't need an activist President. I'd rather have a level-headed businessman at the helm than a knee-jerk politician.
This is a market issue that will eventually level off. Someone will come up with a site for these videos and they'll attract the customers for the product. Welcome to the free market.
If you're still using Google for anything, shame on you.
So Demolition ranch, Hickok and FBS russia are all going away?
TrumpTube users had better react to it, and fast.
It's not Trumps job or duty to do any thing about this. It's a symptom of the free market place at work. The owners decided to change the direction of their own businesses and they don't need anyone's permission to do so. This could prove to be a good thing in the long run for free speech advocacy, get enough people out of their accustomed comfort zone and force them to do something about it themselves and and stop relying on government to always come riding to their rescue.

If a freepathon can raise this money, and get FR to be the host.

Policies on content featuring firearms
YouTube prohibits certain kinds of content featuring firearms. Specifically, we dont allow content that:
Intends to sell firearms or certain firearms accessories through direct sales (e.g., private sales by individuals) or links to sites that sell these items. These accessories include but may not be limited to accessories that enable a firearm to simulate automatic fire or convert a firearm to automatic fire (e.g., bump stocks, gatling triggers, drop-in auto sears, conversion kits), and high capacity magazines (i.e., magazines or belts carrying more than 30 rounds).
Provides instructions on manufacturing a firearm, ammunition, high capacity magazine, homemade silencers/suppressors, or certain firearms accessories such as those listed above. This also includes instructions on how to convert a firearm to automatic or simulated automatic firing capabilities.
Shows users how to install the above-mentioned accessories or modifications.
“OK, new site: OurTube, anyone?”
Porn site.
is youtube going to remove all movies with gun scenes? all war documentaries?
= = =
And they better remove all movies/videos with any clothed persons.
They might be carrying concealed.
Make the same videos. Videos safe for youtube simply need to mention, write out on camera, or include active links to non-youtube compliant videos hosted elsewhere.
Heck, you can host them on your own server/website and begin generating traffic to those formerly youtube videos... by linking to them in your youtube-compliant videos.
In other words, use the change in youtube policy to drive youtube traffic to your website.
Keep doing youtube videos.
Keep following their rules.
Just include links. Maybe even get creative in how your youtube videos mention hidden treasure elsewhere.
Full auto goes on your own website. People interested will click thru.
There's really no alternative to Google, it is hands-down the best search engine out there. However, youtube just happens to be popular. Others can, and DO, just as well. They will lose 50-70% of market share with this boneheaded move. They've lost me.
