On Tuesday, Pennsylvanias 18th district held a special election in which Democrat Conor Lamb is widely believed to have edged out his Republican rival Rick Saccone. While absentee votes are still being counted, Republicans are raising concerns that some voting machines were miscalibrated, which led to votes being switched from Saccone to Lamb.

Sternly worded letter to follow.
You’d only have to switch, what, about 315 votes?
I have a GPS which went crazy on the screen. Had to d/l an electronic version of the manual (old GPS) to figure out that the screen could be re-calibrated. It’s all good now but it was close to useless at one point.
Every vote counts. To Dems, except mine, switch it !!!
How do you miscalibrate a voting machine except having it count beside one or one.?
Two A votes = one B vote?
Go to paper and indelible ink for a finger. Back to basics.
Imagine by how large a landslide the Trump vote must have been for them overcome their voter fraud in PA and WI.
Start the day with 100+ votes already bagged for the Dim.
Elections should have level of technology that is STONE-AGE.
“I want GROK” on a piece of bark would be better than this whiz-bang computer crap.
Prove it.
So what, nothing is ever done as a result of these allegations.
A better candidate would have helped.
Even in Texas, this little “miscalibration” was happening so often (and always changing votes to Democrat) that judges barred voters from taking their smartphones into the voting booths to document the fraud. Many of us defied the order and showed how easy it was to watch your R vote change to a D if you did not pay full attention.
Why is it that these ‘miscalibrated’ machines ALWAYS switch votes from Republican to Democrat?
Sad part is this is not new report—we’ve seen similar reports from electronic machines over the past 20 years. There is absolutely no way to recheck or correct. And how do you prove your vote was miss-tallied? I used to work elections in the northern Virginia in the late 80s and 90s. Machines are bad, have always been. We need to go back to paper ballots.
sure
This situation is serious. I believe it needs to go to the courts and then higher courts, if necessary, right up to the Supreme Court. Even if it takes all summer and fall and no one is declared the winner. There is a lot of investigating that needs to be done here. Vote fraud needs to be stopped in its tracks.
Da Russians did it. Investigate Now!! LOL
Great point. And recall that the heavy D districts took forever to report their votes. Same as in Alabama.
“some voting machines were miscalibrated, which led to votes being switched from Saccone to Lamb.”
Hey, it’s Dims. It’s what they do.
Paul Ryan will come down hard on this. [Cough, cough]
The report didn’t say what kind of ballots were in use, but if this was a scanning machine with ‘bubbles’ to fill in on a paper ballot (like a standardized test), then there would be obvious ways to fix this:
1. Detect the problem - a substantial undervote with voters signing in, but many supposedly not voting.
2. Fix it - by hand-counting the bubbled-in sheets.
Even if #2 isn’t possible, #1 and the actual tally should show a serious discrepancy.
