NEWSMAX ^ | 03/13/2018 | Joe Crowe

Posted on 03/14/2018 2:39:09 PM PDT by Kid Shelleen

Ed Rendell, the former governor of Pennsylvania as well as former mayor of Philadelphia, said that progressive Democrats should support moderate Democrats such as Conor Lamb, the Democratic candidate in the Tuesday special election in Pennsylvania for an open House seat.

"Conor Lamb is a lesson to us as a party. Conor Lamb ran as a conservative Democrat, certainly a moderate.

Conner was billed as a "God-fearing, union-supporting, gun-owning Democrat" and one of Lamb's campaign adds featured him firing a rifle.
Does this mean the Dems are going to take their party back from the elite progressives?

Yeah, he’ll get to D.C. and vote with Pelosi 95% of the time. There are no conservative Dems.

Fast Eddie knows the truth: if they run to the Hard Left they lose.

Democrats need to push back against their Hard Left base but its an uphill battle.

Lamb won because in part he didn’t run to the Left.

For Democrats, that’s a difficult lesson to internalize.

Regardless, Fast Eddie is exactly right. Let’s just hope the Dems continue to ignore him and run progressive nutjobs and washed-up has-beens like Biden and Hillary. Kamala Harris, Gilly - those are the ones we need to worry about because they could move to the center very easily just like Hillary and Bill did to get elected.

The centrist Democrats - the ones Robert Kuttner wrote in the 90s about occupying the middle of the road - are long gone.

Their place is now filled by nutjobs and socialists.

That would be great. We need a healthy two-party system.

It sure doesn’t look that way in Texas, where they are running a leftist and committed gun-grabber like Beto O’Rourke against Ted Cruz.

No. It means Lamb, if elected will vote the way Pelosi tells him to vote every time.

Let’s not beat around the bush : Lamb has shown the Democrats a way forward. The answer? Moderate the message, move to the center & drop Obama. The problem?

2. Lamb, if genuine, is a complete outlier.

He does NOT represent the position of the leadership & ideological soul of the modern Democratic Party.

3. The leader and God Emperor of the Democratic Party is Barack Hussein Obama.

He controls the DNC, via Perez (and Ellison). Both far-left globalist kooks.

4. Their ideology remains as radical as ever : globalist, socialist/marxist, progressive liberalism. Big state, big taxes and big corruption. A totalitarian, divisive mindset.
With hatred of America at its core.

5. Their apparatchiks in the Congress remain - Pelosi, Waters, Schiff, etc etc.

Their slave media remains in place.

THIS is the modern Democratic Party. NOT Lamb.

However.

6. Lamb’s success is a VERY bad outcome, as it can be exploited by bad people to present the Democrats as an electable option.

Let’s face it - Trump won by 20+ there and have a rousing address in PA just days ago. The outcome should have been a GOP thrashing.

7. The Dems have seen a ‘mask’ they can put on to win votes. The Conor Lamb mask.

The question becomes - is this a sustainable strategy for the mid terms?

I think not. Why?

8. To win the mid term elections, the Dems need money they don’t have & more moderate Conor Lambs, than the radicals are willing to support.

It would mean a wholesale revolution within the Party to put it in a moderate space. Within 6-7 months. Ain’t going to happen, folks.

9. Even then, consider this:

In the Senate, they need to flip 8 seats, including Missouri, Montana and West Virginia.

In the Reps, they need to flip 20 seats. Just to draw even.

10. It’s easy to get excited after one narrow victory/defeat (we don’t know yet), but Dems need to consider a few long term headwinds coming down the line.

The first problem? They’re dead broke.

Democrats are ‘dead broke’ after poor 2017 fundraising — but the same can’t be said for Republicans.

Many political experts believe Democrats will experience a resurgence in the 2018 midterm elections. But if the Democratic National Committee doesn’t get its act together soon, candidates will have n…
https://www.theblaze.com/news/2018/02/04/democrats-are-dead-broke-after-poor-2017-fundraising-but-the-same-cant-be-said-for-republicans.

11.The second problem : Trump hasn’t even started his ‘Spring Offensive’ against Obama, Clinton and their proxies in Congress.

If I am right, this will DECIMATE the leadership of the Party. And he’s going to calibrate it, so there’s zero chance they can recover in time.

12. No one should underestimate the toxifying effect that multiple scandals, still not fully exposed, will have on the Democratic Party once they explode.

13. Let’s see : we have ObamaGate (spying), ClintonGate (massive corruption), AwanGate (Pakistani spying/DNC spying on Congress), DossierGate (illegal leaks, FISA abuse), SexGate (sexual harrassment hush payments).

14. These will engulf many sitting members, as well as Democratic media proxies. Anyone in the Democratic Party (or GOPe) who has something to hide WILL be exposed and forced to resign, or worse. More than a few will be indicted, IMO.

15. These are NOT normal times. Many forget this.

Predicting the future via analysis of the past, the traditional method, no longer applies. Polls mean very little.

The terrain and strategic environment today, can change radically in 24-36 hours.

16. It’s an environment that suits the best strategist American politics may have ever seen, Donald Trump.

Trump is calibrating everything to ensure a supermajority in the mid-terms. It’s a key strategic battle for him, in the #MAGA campaign.

17. This means that the enemy must be toxified and unelectable. And the GOPe must be transformed into a MAGA-style Republican Party.

This started happening in 2017. It has been intensifying monthly and is only getting more intense, literally by the day.

18. A broke Democratic Party, sinking in scandal, its leadership in tatters and Congress members resigning in disgrace, if not indicted, cannot win in a mid-term election against a unified, strong GOP opposition under a powerful leader.

19. Trump has been transforming the GOPe. As a result, don’t be surprised to see some disappointing results. It’s normal.

And none of us can be complacent.

But neither of us should be worried. Not in the slightest.
20. Don’t get caught up in the moment. Don’t panic. Think mid-terms and stay calm.

The Dems we see today, won’t be the Dems we see in 6 months. They’ll be a wreck, a ruin. A shell.

Count on it.

#MAGA

The end.

No. He will bow and follow Polosi’s lead. Dems can never reveal their true face to voters, that’s why are are into their US version of “al-Taqiyya”, and fake news.

Bill Nelson always ran as a conservative. Eventually the majority of Florida conservative democrats realized this. Rund conservative, vote liberal/progressive.

Most of North Florida conservative dems switched parties a long time ago, and have never looked back. Once you been betrayed, the smell of Dems is nauseating.

Remember whoever takes Pelosi’s place will be even more hard core left. Hoyer could possibly the next Rat House leader after Pelosi but the rank & file Rat consider him to be way too conservative.
