Well duh. Of course it 2nd amendment supporters and the NRA that are causing a deep divide across the country. Like it's taken right from the anti gun messaging guide book huh?

They mean “concealed handgun” permits, not “gun” permits. North Carolina does not require permits for “guns.” There’s a handgun-purchase permit and a concealed handgun permit.

“Theres a handgun-purchase permit...”
Cheap too. Five dollars when I went thru (years ago). Plus, I was encouraged to get three permits at that time even if I didn’t use them. I don’t remember...may’ve been the max permit purchase per application. All of that may’ve changed.

I think you could get five at a time at $5 each. I bought a batch, but I think they’ve expired.

You mean the msm would mislead us? Or are they setting the stage for acceptance of “registration”. I hear it on show all the time. “Who’s it registerd to?” “We’ll run it through registration.” Crap like that. Some places do, most do not. Yet anyway.

You mean a POLL tax, no? A fee associated with a Right is no longer a Right.
IMO, if the (R)N(C) had 2 brain cells between all the members, they’d push a bill to ‘level the field vs. rights’....the Maturity Reciprocity Act.
Drinking, sel. service, driving, voting, abortion, elective surgery, legal\liability\contracts, etc.
If one is too immature for one, they are too immature for ALL.
