Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., argued that her familys claim to Native American ancestry is an indelible part of who she is something that can never be taken away.
Warren defended herself on NBCs Meet the Press with Chuck Todd Sunday morning when asked what she thought about taking an easily accessible DNA test, such as those offered by 23andMe or Ancestry, to settle the ongoing controversy over her heritage.
Rather than address that question specifically, Warren told a story about how her mother and father, born and raised in Oklahoma, met as teenagers and fell head-over-heels in love. Her fathers family was bitterly opposed to their relationship, she said, because her mother was part Native American, but the couple eloped and persevered.
Thats the story that my brothers and I all learned from our Mom and our Dad, from our grandparents and all of our aunts and uncles. Its a part of me, and nobody is going to take that part of me away not ever, Warren said.

And yes, i actually DO have Native Americans in my bloodline
Would love to see her on the Jimmy Kimmel DNA Show. And on the same Show he could have Chelsea Clinton and Webster Hubble. I would watch that show!
She would have taken the DNA test but she couldn’t find a minority professor to tutor her for it!
You meant “The Jimmy Kimmel Estrogen Hour”!
:)
She’s already done the test, she already knows, there is absolutely no doubt on this subject. If she could destroy president Trump’s narrative for $99 she would do so in a heartbeat!
She wants to be considered Pocohontas Lite.
Could be, I have never seen the show except You Tube reruns.
She’s a half-breed or mixed-blood. Back in the old days. I was taught this was not a source of pride and wasn’t to be widely advertised. In fact, some within the races felt it was a dishonor to be of mixed blood.
I recall many of the Native-American race (as kids we called them Indians) did not wish to breed with the White race (or People of European Descent) and vice versa.
I know that when one of my cousins (of Irish/Scots descent) married his wife (of Choctaw Indian descent), both races were against the marriage. During the marriage the couple were not socially accepted by either race. Even after death the stigma continued with fights between the races over how and where they were to be buried.
I guess many races want to keep their traditions and races as pure as possible by not mating outside the race. We still hear the term “pure blood” used for those. I guess that means more in European circles than here in America, the melting pot of the world.
Unless, Ms. Warren wants to be called “The First Native-American” president, I see no reason she needs to exploit her alleged ancestry. To me, she is what she is, a liberal. And liberals come in all races and colors of the rainbow.
Note to Snowflakes: Yes, there are Native-Americans of descent here in Texas. We have Pow-wows where we go to honor the their art, traditions, and eat native food - BBQ. Regardless our ethnic origins, we are all people who share the common Spirit of Texas.
There ya go! If it’s Goggle... it is BS. Simple.
I have read that the tests are often inaccurate. If your friend was tested by another company, the results might be completely different.
Seems like Fauxcahontas just became Saco’debulcrap
Warren knew when she claimed Native American status on her job applications that she could not back up the claim with any evidence. She did not know whether or not her claim was valid, yet she represented that she did know. That was a lie. She lied for personal gain, and it worked. Her lie made her millions of dollars.
None of that personal history would be erased by the results of a 2018 DNA test, even if the tests were widely regarded as highly accurate, which they are not.
A crazy person’s claim to be Alexander tge Great may be something nobody can take away from them. Doesn’t oblidge the rest of us to act like its true or respect their grasp on reality.
“She lets it build and then out comes the test. If so, my guess is shes less than 25%. 12.5% at most and more likely
6.25% or 3.125%.”
BTW, tests companies have been caught recently cheating in results to “inject” more diversity in their customers’ results! So the DNA tests must be taken with a big grain of salt.
I read a good one recently...
