President Trump on Saturday mocked Oprah Winfrey at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, saying that he hopes the billionaire declares her candidacy for president in 2020.
At a rally for Pennsylvania state Rep. Rick Saccone (R), who is running for Congress this year, the president said that a Democratic challenge against him would be a "painful" experience for Winfrey, who has publicly stated she has no plans to run.
"I would love Oprah to win. I would love to beat Oprah. I know her weakness," Trump told the crowd. "Wouldn't we love to run against Oprah. I would love it. I would love it. That would be a painful experience for her."

She forgot to shove her Tongue in his ear.
IMO he's thinking "ratings", not "illuminating comparisons of our policy positions".
Ratings may be it. But Oprah is a creature of the late 1990’s through the GWB years. By the time Obama came along, the strongest wind was already going out of her sails. Oprah remains a sentimental favorite among the deluded, and the willfully ignorant, many of whom probably don’t even vote. They consider themselves helpless victims of ‘The Man’. These are often the same folks who distrust most police officers.
Frankly, I think it's a weakness of his, a completely unnecessary distraction and fodder for his opponents.
OMG! People held RALLIES to try to get Trump elected?! I had no idea. Lock them up and throw away the key.
Ut, oh, wrong thread.
And, having been coddled for so many decades and “above the fray” she’ll have no idea what it’s like to be put under the microscope. Alternative media has come a long way from when obama was running in ‘08 and it isn’t, fringe, as it may have once been.
A former co-worker of mine was on one of her security details. He was white, so he wasn’t allowed near her. He was relegated to the security room, watching monitors. All the folks around her were ex-Chicago PD and black. He would tell me that away from the cameras, she spoke of herself in the 3rd person.
It will be very interesting if she runs.
She’s reliant on White, Suburban, Stay at Home, Cackling Housewives hoping to get a free car.
Bingo. She will find the painful truth that a political campaign is not a coronation or a book signing tour, but a laborious slugfest. Secondly, she will have to take sides on issues that millions will disagree with.
But she's not a bright bulb by any means.
The entirety of her fortune, her career, and her celebrity is the work of her lawyer/manager, Jeff Jacobs.

Oprah wouldn't survive 5 minutes of Trump's assault if he turned his guns on her, and Jacobs wouldn't let her do it.
She's setting herself up to snipe at him from the sidelines, which, like everyone else, she'll come to regret.
His reason is to throw the 2020 Democrat nominating process into even deeper chaos by goading egos. 4D chess.
It will be painful because Trump wouldn’t go easy on her the way Romney and McCain did with Obama.
