Holy God,
So often we try to carry our own burdens instead of casting them upon You. How blessed we are to have a God Who wants to bear our load, our worries, our concerns, our trials upon Himself. You do this out of Your great love for us, Lord. We deserve none of Your assistance. We cannot earn any of Your help. These are gifts that are freely given to us so that we can learn to trust in You and Your unfailing love.
Father, we thank You for so great a love that You have for us. We ask that You help our military men and women to know and receive this beautiful love as well. Many of them are in situations filled with trials and danger. We ask You to carry that burden for them, Lord. Carry the burden of protection for their loved ones back home who wait for their return. Carry the burdens of their day to day lives in which they may be living in very difficult circumstances. Help them to know the blessed assurance that You are their yoke bearer. You know all that they need and Your mercies are new every morning.
Lord, we pray that You would be the strength of President Trump’s life, helping him to acknowledge You in all his ways so that You may direct his path. May he choose to draw upon Your wisdom by reading the Word and communing with You each day. May His relationship with You be the source of his strength and the reason for his hope during these troubled times. We thank You for the success that You have given him and pray that You will bless America through his leadership.
Grant Your people Israel the revelation of Jesus Christ, that all may know the love of the Messiah and the redemption that was purchased for all those who believe. Father, we ask that people all over the world would pray for this beloved country.
Forgive the sins of our nation, Father, and help us to return to You in every area of our lives. Save us from everything that plagues us; for surely all sin dishonors You. Help us to honor the truth of Your Word and the teachings You have provided us.
Lord, Your yoke is easy, and Your burden is light. We can only enjoy those benefits if we submit our burdens unto You. Help us to do so, Lord, that we may rejoice in the rest that we find for our souls. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
