When I went on that ride it was raining, boats were over our ankles in water. Narurally it broke down half way in. They did not shut off the music. Seemed like we were trapped for hours.

Off topic but a funny story, I left my camera on “It’s a Small World” so we had to go back and wait whilst all the boats went around...we were talking with the operator (no crowd at all) and towards the end of the wait I asked “how do you survive with that song all day.”

Our family actually had that happen when the ride broke down half-way through. 25 years later, I am still traumatized.
I wondered what happened to survivors of that horrible incident at It's a Small World in Disneyland.

I remember being there in the Thunderstorm capital of the US in a hot August when the World of Transportation died from the cumilonimbuses.
How ironic it was to have the family walk down the ramps to a dark ride for the World of Transportation... but, who am I to complain? Walking certainly is a form of transportation.
