Scary map shows parts of SF Bay Area to be destroyed by global warming

The 1970s were a great time for disaster movies. There was Earthquake with Charlton Heston, Towering Inferno with Steve McQueen, the Poseidon Adventure, and many more.

By the 1990s, disaster movies had taken on a distinctly sci-fi element, such as the movie Armageddon, which highlighted the twin disasters of an asteroid striking the Earth and a plan to send Ben Affleck into space.

That's where we are today, except our science fiction is being portrayed as science fact by liberals who want to scare us with the global warming bogeyman. In their latest attempt, they have produced a map showing which parts of the San Francisco Bay Area will be plunged underwater by 2100 due to global warming:

Of course, 2012 has come and gone, but this still could be the future map of the world! All of San Francisco is gone.

Go then. When you get tired over there you might want to look up this little thing called a ‘free market’, something us conservatives kind of use as a standard to ferret out histrionics from facts. For all if it’s problems, if California was as hosed as some retards seem to think, the real estate prices would be going DOWN instead of up.

A. How can you tell the difference between a rising sea level and sinking ground?

B. How does Global Warming contribute to the sinking of the ground?

I am not at all familiar with that area. But it appears from looking at Google map that much of the red area is already unoccupied marshland.

I used to live in Foster City, and even back then the entire town, built entirely on landfill, was below sea level during high tide.

It survives by dint of its levee.

"A reminder from 30 years ago what happens when you build up land mass using dirt and gravel with no appreciable bedrock underneath"

I'm thinking Safeco Field (Mariners) and CenturyLink Field (Seahawks) in Seattle. Both are built on or near old tide flats and landfill, and I would think that land would be very unstable in a major quake.

About 15 or 20 years ago, there was an artist in the Seattle area who painted pictures of Seattle mostly under water. In one, the only part of the Space Needle above water was the restaurant at the top. For that scenario to happen, the sea would have to rise more than 500 feet.

Global warming alarmists often act as if the world was always the way it was about 50 years ago. Don’t they know anything about natural history?

Well when all the ice melts worldwide we'll probably see a thousand foot rise in sea levels right? From "Old Al's Almanac". 🍿🍻😹🇺🇸

Get several opinions about what’s going on around San Francisco. Then choose the “reality" that you like the best. 8^P
"* San Francisco has twice made bond offerings for its Municipal Transportation Agency since 2014 that do not contain the words "global warming" or "climate change.”
