Rising Democratic star Megan Barry is expected to resign as Mayor of Nashville at a hastily scheduled press conference that will be held at Nashville City Hall at 10 a.m. central on Tuesday, according to The Tennessean and other local media outlets.
Barry admitted on January 31 that she had a two-year-long affair with her bodyguard, former Metro Nashville Police Department Sgt. Rob Forrest, as Breitbart News reported:

She could run for governor in 2022 but she would likely be facing a popular incumbent Republican, so 2026 would be her next opportunity, when she would be 63 (she was two months old when JFK was assassinated).
Too many better-known Democrats already vying for the next Presidential nominations so her chances are pretty slim there even for 2024.
Her lover's surname is Forrest. Is he related to Nathan Bedford Forrest? Maybe he needs to take a Y-DNA test with FamilyTreeDNA to find out. If he's NBF's cousin, that would make the affair much worse from a Democrat standpoint.
