President Trump’s Thursday decision to begin the process of keeping his campaign promise to protect the American industrial base by imposing tariffs on imported steel and aluminum has seemingly gotten everyone in a tizzy, oddly uniting Big Business, top globalists, the IMF, the GOP Establishment and even liberal Democrats, all of whom never agree on anything yet are united that this particular decision will mean nothing short of an economic apocalypse for the United States.

If it is upsetting Big Business, top globalists, the IMF, the GOP Establishment and liberal Democrats then it is most likely a good thing for the People of the United States.

What's interesting about this issue is that the supporters and opponents of these tariffs are BOTH right -- from the points of view of their respective constituents.

If I work for an aluminum producer in the U.S., I'm a big fan of the tariff. If I work for Boeing and I've been making airplane wings with imported aluminum for the last five years, I don't like this tariff at all.

Everyone who pipes in on this panic of what they believe Trump’s tariffs will cause are exposing themselves as One World Globalists. They know Trump forcing other countries we trade with to remove or lower their tariffs on US goods will slow down the roll toward an elitist utopia.

FNC took Charles Payne back so why not Eric Bolin??????

What's the problem - sure Bolin is white but he still deserves another look.

After all, he and his poor wife suffered the maximum blow of having their son taken by his dependence on drugs who wound up dead!

Eric probably committed whatever he did during a time when his drinking was out of control.

FNC has a reputation of working with their employees who definitely need help - look at Greg Jarrett, FNC gave him not one but two bad errors and he's back and better than ever now!

Even God allows for Second Chances, when our hearts are broken.

"Anheuser-Busch, the largest beer maker in world, said the plan would “put jobs at risk and would be against the US consumer."

Actually InBev, who acquired Anheuser-Busch in 2008.

What about all the illegals raising the prices of health care, schools, etc., while lowering wages.

No kidding

Since when does a world super power import critical commodities that would be cut off at an enemies whim?

It’s kind of funny, tariffs are seen as an evil cause of “trade wars” which jeopardize the entire global economy — but only when the US makes use of tariffs.

Other countries always have tariffs. No big deal. No trade war. No global economic calamity. But if the US does that sort of thing, the sky is falling. Some people think Smoot-Hawley started the Great Depression. It didn’t. And Trump’s tariffs won’t hurt us either.

We can play the game everybody else plays. They just don’t like it when we win.

Agreed and the GOP needs to hammer this home in ads, especially in the Rust Belt states. The Democrats are not the party of the rank and file Union laborer, but the GOP has been piss poor on trade as well, until Trump.

The big fish are upset because their money bets are placed on the expectation of the continuing hollowing out of America, the worse America does the more they make while American citizens are reduced to poverty and slavery.

“Actually InBev, who acquired Anheuser-Busch in 2008.”

I remember when that deal happened, it was a classic corporate inversion to avoid US corporate taxes. I bet they wish they were an American company now.

The businesses just want cheaper steel and aluminum. Period. Not too worried about national security.

The fact is our ability to produce high quality steel and aluminum has been greatly reduced as China and others flood our market with (government subsidized) cheap steel and aluminum, putting our companies out of business.

As a nation, we need the steel and aluminum manufacturing capacity as a matter of national security.

This is a Trump shot across the bow; keep dumping your goods in any industry and we will retaliate. Leadership, for a change. I think we can afford a few cents more for a can of soda/ beer.

Repercussions are so over-hyped!

We have been in a “trade war” for decades and we are loosing. Apparently like Islamic jihad; this is just another battle our “betters” are too craven or traitorous to fight.
