Clara is hanging in there. Her brain is mush and she doesn’t know who I am most of the time. Once in a while the “light bulb” goes off but it lasts just a moment or two.
She was 101 in December.

She sure HAS seen a lot. She told us a little about life when she was younger. She was born in PA where her father worked in the mines, then he moved the family back down here to help out with the farm when she was around 11 or 12.
She still remembers a couple of things about living in PA but nothing about her life here.

We assume they don’t belong to anyone since no one lives all that close by. They’ll be dealt with whenever Hubby gets the chance, that’s for sure!

That’s my way of thinking too! It isn’t like coyotes who get out at night. It’s out and about during the day too.
But Hubby isn’t hot on shooting any kind of cat and I can sympathize in a way.
We need to get a large enough live trap to capture it and haul it off. The largest we have is good for catching raccoons but too small for that cat.

Do you have a county agent or animal rescue center who could trap him and take him somewhere else? They’re beautiful animals, but they don’t need to live in your barn.
