Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel says he has no regrets about ripping President Donald Trump on a near-nightly basis even if it turns off countless conservative viewers. A lot of people are going with this line of reasoning where they say, people in show business shouldnt speak out about politics, Jimmy Kimmel told in an interview with ABC News Paula Faris on Tuesday. And yet they elected Donald Trump the president of the United States. So I think that argument has pretty well jumped out the window.
Most recently, the Live host has pushed political views like amnesty for illegal immigrants, gun control, and tax-payer subsidized healthcare all while skewering President Trump and his supporters.
I dont think you can go too far, Kimmel says of his politically charged rhetoric. Im still doing a comedy show and I need to be funny and entertain my audience, but I also think that weve matured enough
to the point where we can accept late-night talk show hosts speaking about a serious subject. And I think that its almost necessary now.

What a whiny little pussy
I miss Carson
He was funny and a class act
Holly weird is getting a comeuppance
What argument? Was there something he said in the middle of that? Sounds like Kimmel is making an argument himself something like:
Premise 1) A lot of people say show business people should not talk about their politics.
Premise 2) A lot of people voted for Trump.
Premise 3) Voting for Trump is stupid.
Premise 4) From 2 and 3 a lot of people are stupid.
Premise 5) From 1 and 4 the people saying show business people should not talk about politics are stupid.
Conclusion) People in show business should talk about their politics.
This argument is not even close to logically valid, and its starting premises seem to be shallow reactionary opinion of somebody too upset to think critically.
I think this is a prime example of why Kimmel, at least, should not talk about politics if they have nothing useful to contribute.
Since becoming an organ of the DNC, Kimmel has made a horse race out of late night talk shows.. However, they cannot avoid the inevitable:
All three late-night network shows have shed viewers in the 18-to-49 demographic over the last year
Keep it up, Jimmy, and you'll be working alongside Katie Couric.
Maybe Kimmel will go the route of the late Dick Gregory.
Dick started out as a stand up comic in the 1960’s, but became immersed in the Black Power movement of that time, and stopped presenting himself as someone who wanted to make you laugh. He also lost most of his national fame.
Kimmel keeps claiming that he thinks.
But in order to draw that conclusion, he first has to assume that he thinks. Circular reasoning.
I have no regrets not watching him.
I was thinking the exact same thing about opening himself up to counterpunches. He should be careful with that.
Kimmel is not brave enough to trash anyone else that deserves it.
I agree.
I will go so far as to not watch the Oscar show.
He doesn’t think he can “go too far”? No, he doesn’t have to go too far. Just go away with your infantile blatherings. People who have to put other [highly productive] people down to make a living are talentless buffoons.
“It sounds like the Left is in their death throes to me.”
Kimmel...the face of the ugly democrat.
Paging the Ghost of Air America.
These people are just incapable of learning.
“He Jimmy Kimmelld it
He Jimmy Kimmell’d up.
When Kimmel gets ugly about President Trump and his family, which should be off limits...just tune him out and turn him out.
Please keep it up, Kimmel. You’ll help Trump get re-elected.
“What kind of adult calls himself Jimmy. “
Jimmy Doolittle, Jimmy Stewart...but I understand your point. This assmunch is a smartass 13 year old..not an adult.
They don’t get it.
Bashing somebody for no reason always worked in the past, what has changed they say..........
Funny and at one time you were a comedian
Hey these are the brilliant folks who gave us:
...casting couch rapists,
...innocent young victims...
and sluts using casting couch sex to win the best roles...
How dare you challenge their wisdom.../s
Pssst, here’s a hot tip. These people need to be ignored.
