Calls for the Broward sheriff to resign intensify. The vocal sheriff who has criticized everyone from local politicians to the NRA to one of his own officers in the wake of the Florida high school shooting is facing the pressure himself Monday, as calls mount for him to resign amid reports about his department’s alleged incompetence in stopping the gunman.
The heat against Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel is coming from all angles, including from a survivor of the attack who told Fox News that he “failed to act on so many different levels” and from dozens of state lawmakers who are urging Florida Gov. Rick Scott to suspend him.
“Listen, if ifs and buts were candy and nuts, O.J. Simpson would still be in the record books,” was Israel's bizarre defense Sunday after being asked by CNN’s Jake Tapper if the shooting might not have happened if his department handled things differently.
The comment came following disputed reports that three of Israel’s officers refused to enter Marjory Douglas Stoneman High School as Nikolas Cruz was killing 17 people in the Valentine’s Day rampage.
A deputy in charge of protecting the school, Scot Peterson, resigned Thursday after it emerged he himself failed to go into the building, taking shelter behind a concrete column for four minutes as the 19-year-old gunned down anyone in his path. And the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, in addition to the FBI, is continuing to face questions Monday as to why they didn’t do more when multiple people sounded the alarm about the gunman’s erratic behavior.

After Columbine police officers took an oath nation wide not to stand down when there is an active shooter in any school.
So all those officers violated their oaths. They are a bunch of chicken $hit cowards! If these officers had any self respect, then they would resign.
Certainly if it was a kid on psychotropics out of his mind. That’s easy compared to a professional.

The Coral Springs police were able to act as they appropriately should to stop an active shooter.
Broward Sheriff’s deputies have ‘stand down’ policy. Their hands are tied by the school district’s don’t engage or arrest policy orchestrated between the school district, BSO and the state prosecutors. Liberalism sucks.
Go back and check the signed Collaboration agreement and you will find Scott Israel’s/ BSO signature along with all the other gov. agencies 7 the NAACP.
You will not find the individual city police departments signing, perhaps with the exception of the Ft.. Lauderdale police dept.

Unarmed coach and three very courageous and selfless ROTC students who put themselves in harms way to rescue fellow students. One of the ROTC kids died. He wanted to go to West Point and was posthumously made a West Point cadet. Heartbreaking that those cowardly deputies didn’t even try.
Hogg was saying he did not blame the deputies for not going in because they would be up against an AR15!
I’ve asked that question a number of times on various social media, and asked people personally.
I have yet to get an answer.
I, like you I imagine, find that quite odd. Troubling even.

Actually, the governor can remove Israel and has been called upon to do so by the Speaker and majority of republican state legislators, yesterday.
Rick Scott removed a FL sheriff a few years ago over a CCW issue.
The first clue Scott Israel is evil, is that snotnose kid Hogg said he would back him.

There is a dispatcher in question who referred a call to Palm Beach and the deputy who went to Cruz’s home to secure the guns, but did not 11/2017.
There is whomever failed to process or complete the “threat assessment” on Cruz requested by MSD high school 1/2017
DELUSIONAL.
The School District and its board deserve their fair share of this blame.
Money grab for low arrests and police calls made by turning off law enforcement.
Killed their own kids.
Where is the list of children beaten, missing,
raped, and sold that the “Detectives” DID NOTHING ABOUT.
This is the TIP of their evil iceberg.
