« Pocahontas speaks with a forked tongue | Jewish minority white-skinned privileged male named Harvard's president; racist diversifiers object » Share Share | Twitter | Facebook | 188 Comments | Print | Email February 23, 2018 New Lost in Space has a black Judy Robinson, a Hispanic Major West, and a female Dr. Smith By Ed Straker Netflix is remaking the campy 1960s series Lost in Space. As might be expected, the network is doing everything it can to ethnically cleanse white people and men from the cast, but it's a hard proposition, given that in the original series, the story focused on Professor John Robinson, a white man; his white wife, Maureen Robinson; Major Don West, a white man; Will Robinson, a white boy; and Dr. Zachary Smith, a white man.
The show-runners started by replacing Dr. Smith with a woman, Parker Posey. Yes, Dr. Smith is now a girl (in much the same way that Britain's Dr. Who is now Nurse Who).
Then Major West was replaced with a Hispanic character, played by Ignacio Serricchio. Okay, Major West is Spanish now. Maybe he should be called "Major Oeste."
But the most confusing part is that Judy West is now being played by black actress Taylor Russell.

Now that’s a good line!
.... and likely, a very small audience.
Because Mexico is so well known for its space faring frontier accomplishments.
If it wasnt for Affirmative Action in the U.S. they’d still be riding Burros.

The Diversity Death Sentence
Regardless of the racial makeup of the cast
Danger!
I will never accept Nurse Who. Last week I went to a major Dr Who convention in LA where everyone else loved the idea, and many people, female and male, were dressed as the new Nurse.
The Robot will be a Transvestite
I saw that on futurama.
Why are there so many re-makes of old TV shows?
Do any of these find an audience?
Have any been successful?
It seems as if the jokes write themselves, every time they take an old TV show and reboot, or make a movie version of it.
Kryten would be an improvement.
Safe space - Will Robinson - safe space!
I saw the remake with John Hurt and Oldman as the doctor. It was alright. But this racial sh*t has to stop.
That was a show I couldn’t watch.
Soooo, the robot is gay?
Gotta have one, or the show is doomed.
Oh, and a trannie computer?
And tiny “bots” that don’t know their sex and have snowflake moments each time they are drawn the wrong color?
Why start with a title, concept, and characters written but white males? Can’t they make their own ideas interesting and diverse?
