What a government generated mess! All for the money, as usual. Of course the fallout from their short-sighted thinking is actually going to cost them, and the taxpayers, millions in liability claims. And deservedly so.
Why 8+++ lawyers?
1. They are a liberal bureaucracy and need to payroll their friends.
2. It’s a big district with nearly 280,000 students and 30,000 employees.
3. They have 300+ schools to juggle, some of which are complete zoos.
4. They are housing thousands of kids that belong in Juvenile hall or jail.
5. The hierarchy consists of relocated outspoken Yanks (think Deb W-Schultz) and they fight all the time for power and money. DSW entered politics through the Broward school board.

How much money did they get to justify the loss of 17 lives? What amount? Divide their windfall by 17 plus the wounded.
Now, take a deep breath. Even after some of the parents of the deceased children understand the facts about how their county educators and leaders sacrificed their safety, these same parents will still support them and vote for them, again and again.
Their very own liberal progressive non-disciplinarian attitudes will trump the loss of their very own little girl’s or boy’s life. Guaranteed!
They will, for the most part, read and sign the exact damned SANCTUARY policy that killed their own loved one in the name of diversity and liberal lunacy. Indeed, they live and breathe their liberal dogma to the grave.
It is prudent to remember that the education system is not to educate children but rather to employ educators.
Students are but the means to the end
That, and cultural Marxist indoctrination of our children. It’s their religion, and Democrat is their denomination. Asking them to give it up is like asking devout Christians to disavow God.
Incompetents in Broward County Schools, Superintendent, Runcie, Broward County Sheriff, Israel and the failed, corrupt FBI will shortly be washing car windshields on Canal Street, in New York City. And....that Criminal, low life, Democrat Congresswoman, Debbie Wassermann Schultz and her Democrat Party cohorts, should join them.
This horror story continues to unfold each hour with new stories of incompetents, failure and the loss of life of innocents, children and adults alike. I hope in my heart and soul, that the parents of the slaughtered children, the families of the adults slain, and the families of all the children at school subjected to terror and death, needlessly, because of the failure of these political misfits called Democrats. My fondest wish is that all of these low life scum and vermin human being, become penniless for the rest of their rotten lives on God’s planet. I pray that multi lawsuits destroy all of Broward County, economically!!!
My heart is broken for the beautiful children that are with us no more, the very future of our great Republic. Having lost a daughter to cancer, I can feel the loss of these families. I miss my beautiful daughter, every day that I breathe!!! The Democrat Party as it stands today, needs to be totally defeated, politically, this coming November, 2018 across the entire nation.

I tend to agree...all of the added cost...more security...rebuilding of the school...the legal costs...fines, etc....all will be covered by the property taxes.
Reality here is that if you live in this county, you need to put your house up for sale and move over to the next county. You should expect the property taxes within six months to escalate. I would be guessing double of whatever you pay currently.
All of this will lead to a downward spiral for Broward over the next decade.
