The First National Bank of Omaha said Thursday it will not renew a contract with the National Rifle Association to issue its NRA-branded Visa credit card. "Customer feedback has caused us to review our relationship with the NRA," a spokesperson for the bank told CNBC. "As a result, First National Bank of Omaha will not renew its contract with the National Rifle Association to issue the NRA Visa Card." The website advertising the card disappeared on Wednesday, less than one day after ThinkProgress reported the bank's support of the pro-gun lobby. The bank was one of many companies used by the NRA to promote its membership through discounts and bonus deals.

Humans are supposed to be rational. This is nothing but mass hysteria.
They sure are making it easy to decide who to do business with...
Oh well, had an NRA Visa for years. Cash back goes to NRA instead of me.
There’ll be another.
Prediction: The First National Bank of Omaha will wish they hadn’t caved to mob action.
I should close my accounts at FNBO, tell them it is due to this action against the NRA.
Gutless.
I wish I did business with these weasels.
So I could QUIT doing business with these weasels.
I re-upped my membership in NRA, which had lapsed.
Sick of the garbage thinking out there.
I seriously hope this bank loses depositors over this issue.
I am tired of the pantywaists running the show.
Is the link working for anyone else?
I copied the webpage but going to the link is saying not found -

Customer feedback?
You should.
Boycott.
I already did otherwise I would use this as a reason.
Just sent them an email, providing “customer outcry” against this decision they made.
AstroTurf pressure more likely.
Bank discrimination against customers for political speech reasons should be banned.
“Page Not Found”
I have been a customer of FNO for over 40 years and I have asked them to explain their actions and how many of those who complained were actually customers. I await a response.
This has been my bank for years.
Closing all accounts there tomorrow!
Same here
I just wrote them as a 40 year card-holder, and if they think they got “customer outcry” before, then just stand back and watch what they get now.
I know someone who works for them so I’ll find out if there is any internal communication about this idiocy.
You’ll receive a boiler plate response.
