New York Magazine - Impeach Clarence Thomas
new york magazine ^ | 2/18/2018 | jill abramson

Posted on 02/19/2018 9:26:08 AM PST by cowpoke

the cover story in the current issue of New York magazine is by former NY Times editor Jill Abramson and presents their case for impeaching Thomas. A search didn't find anything on this here. Appears he is the next target.

Nah its only racist if you go after a black liberal..if you go after a black conservative you can call them every horrible name in the book and no one says a peep

That’s a given. Doesn’t stop me and anyone else from saying it. Let them try to stop us. .

... which included corroboration from Smith’s roommates at the time of the dinner and from her former husband.

Here are the corroborators:

Laura Fink is the liberal co-founder of a California political-consulting firm connected to the Clintons and the SEIU.

A second housemate remembers a discussion but has a “fuzzy” memory of the details

A third had nothing but vague memories and wouldn’t let Coyle publish his or her name.

Smith’s ex-husband, Paul Bodnar, a former senior director for energy and climate change in the Obama Administration’s National Security Council.

On the other hand, if the Democrats take the House Pelosi becomes Speaker, giving the green light to impeach, convict and remove DJT, and Pense, making Pelosi President.

Elections have consequences ...

I expect that Thomas will resign next summer, so that Trump can replace him. He is not going to roll the dice on a democrat president getting elected in 2020 and replacing him with a far left wing liberal.
If so, he’s already rolled the dice that the Republicans will retain control of the Senate; we’re in uncharted territory now that the precedent has been set that a SCOTUS justice can’t be confirmed whenever the president’s party doesn’t control the Senate.

And, having done so, you might think that he would plan to remain until the summer of 2020. Just to retain the office and perquisites for another 2 years. And as an insurance policy against the premature death before 2020 of whoever would succeed him.

The left’s all out assault on Patriots is made more critical by the efforts of Trumpian investigators drawing closer to the jugular of leftist corruption.

“I have never liked, trusted, or respected him.”

Dafuq? In my opinion, he, second only to Scalia, is the most reasoned, Constitutionally-minded jurist ever to have served on SCOTUS.

Moira Smith

Claims she was groped by Clarence Thomas at a dinner party where she was seated next to him.

But I just love this: obvious bias reporting that is so far from the truth it is almost laughable:

Perhaps that is a reflection of the conservative movement’s reluctance, going back decades, to inspect the rot in its power structure, even as its pundits and leaders have faced allegations of sexual misconduct. (Liberals of the present era — possibly in contrast to those of, say, the Bill Clinton era — have been much more ready to cast out from power alleged offenders, like Al Franken.)

I think I am going into the furniture business- I predict that from now on there will be rise in the sales of vastly oversized dining tables with glass tops - so that there’s enough room to seat each person beyond the arm’s reach of another and so that if anyone want to stretch they would be deterred because there would be no way to grope discretely.

For small homes there could be boothables- tables with hardware cloth beneath separating each seated person so as to prevent thigh-grabbing and leg-rubbing... and an optional clear tabletop barrier system like the dividers in a prison meet and greet room only with a small slot to slide dishes through as they are passed around.

Years ago, a physician customer of mine ordered a very large beveled glass table top. He had a topless table for 8 designed and special made.

He told me he wanted the table so he could see when someone was grabbing his wife’s thigh at dinner

The Left is scared out of their collective minds that President Trump will likely be able to nominate one, two or even three USSC justices in the near future. When that happens, the Left will truly be out of national power and that’s something the petty tyrants of the Left simply cannot abide.

The Senate has to convict.

An impeachment in the House by itself does not remove a president, as we saw with perv Billy Clinton.

Funniest line: that liberals, as proven by their handling of Sen. Franken, are much more willing to confront sexual abusers in their midst.

Sen Franken, of course, was busted with photographic proof. And there was no loss in replacing him with another wild-eyed leftist radical.

Shall we impeach Supreme Court justices for lying to the Senate during their confirmation hearings? Let’s start with Kennedy, Souter, Ginsberg and Roberts!

I suspect my wife would let me and everyone else in the room know if someone grabbed her thigh at dinner.

What is your problem with Clarence Thomas? He’s about as reliably conservative a vote as there is on the USSC. Odds are that we aren’t going to get a better Justice.
