Huddled in his newly opened office steps from the US Capitol, Biden began a planning meeting for his new diplomacy center by addressing the elephant in the room. He said he was keeping his 2020 options open, considering it a real possibility.

I don’t know about that. In 2016 Trump won a few rust-belt states, but by very narrow margins. Many blue-collar folks in those states went for Trump. But trust me, those guys like Biden a lot.

we can laugh all we want; if Biden had run in 2016, Trump’s election would have come down to WI and MI, because he would have delivered Luzerne and Northhampton counties, his old stomping grounds, and most likely Erie county as well, swinging the state...
that said, he has no chance now, as he’ll be pushing 80...

I agree with you. Biden would have been formidable in 2016. His many faults would have been ignored by the mainstream media.
As for 2020, I still think he’d be formidable, despite his age. Again, the media would cover for him. One could say that Trump would destroy him in the debates...but that all depends on who’s asking the questions.

All of the positive effects from, JUST, all of the tax cuts should make Trump’s re-election a cinch, if he wants to run again. Ditto, The GOP Congress. Unfortunately, The Stupid Party keeps finding ways of being stupid and missing out on opportunities to make significant political gains. All of the RINOS and all of the “Anti-Trump GOPers” aren’t helping much, either.

Old Media will position Biden as a “centrist” as they blast their propaganda far and wide. But will Biden remain a viable candidate (age aside) when the details of the Trump surveillance operation are known more fully and the underlying FISA application and other documents have been made public? I have my doubts about that! After all, a recent poll found most already believed that Obama’s crew improperly “wiretapped” Trump’s campaign.
Can anyone explain to me why the Dems have defended these misdeeds? After all, Clinton and Obama are the party’s past. Why not just distance themselves from it? It could well get bad enough that even Old Media’s whitewashing can’t hide the truth.
