Raley said shell take all the criticism and attacks for her opinion because, as a teacher with two decades of experience, she has to worry about an active-shooter situation on a daily basis.
The middle school teacher said over her almost two decades as an educator that shes seen an increase in violence and a lack of compassion among students.
Until we, as a country, are willing to get serious and talk about mental health issues, lack of available care for the mental health issues, lack of discipline in the home, horrendous lack of parental support when the schools are trying to control horrible behavior at school (oh no! Not MY KID. What did YOU do to cause my kid to react that way?), lack of moral values, and yes, Ill say it violent video games that take away all sensitivity to ANY compassion for others lives as well as reality TV that makes it commonplace for people to constantly scream up in each others faces and not value any other person but themselves, we will have a gun problem in school, the sixth-grade language arts teacher wrote.
Raley, who loves hunting and four-wheeling in her spare time, added that she grew up with guns in her home.
But you know what? My parents NEVER supported any bad behavior from me, Raley said.
She said when she began teaching 20 years ago, she never had to worry about calling a students parents and getting cussed out, told to go to hell, or threatened with a public shaming all because she was calling out their childs behavior. Something, she said, has got to change.
She doubles down that she had guns in her home.

A private school would be lucky to have her.
“Was this the same teacher that had just that morning been awarded a brand new 2018 Toyota”
Don’t think so. Looks like this lady is from Eustis — much farther north and inland than Broward County.
As a graduate from the district, I’m substitute teaching to help them out. . .there’s a sub crisis all across America. The students think I’m mean . . .too bad but they have to admit I am fair. They are surprised that I don’t allow “low life” talk, no eating in the computer lab and classrooms, no taking the Lord’s Name in vain. I treat everyone the same . . .no matter who they belong to. Last year I gave the classes my “your future, your decision” type speech. . . .I think I need to do it again. At the end, I told them pointing my finger at them. “If you take what I said home, you make sure you tell it exactly how I told it.” Not out to win a popularity contest . . .but they know I want them all to succeed.
She nailed it with exception to the violent video games. Violence in video games is only relevant when morals and parental guidance are adrift in the child’s development.

It’s notable, but not surprising, that the rabid atheist left will rail against a tax-exempt church sitting on 5 acres - usually a busy corner where the property value isn’t that high due to traffic and noise - but they will say nothing about these sprawling elementary, middle and especially high school campuses that contribute nothing. In fact, they consume a great deal. A high school can occupy 50 or more acres when all the parking, auxiliary buildings, playing fields, etc. are included.
The schools suck up most property taxes and THEN have the brass neck to issue bonds ie take on debt because huge sums from taxes aren’t enough.
Gun controllers like to talk about ‘common sense.’ What is sensical about compulsory attendance for psychos, criminals and the like? What is sensical about forcing smart kids into homerooms, lunchrooms, and common areas with idiots and felons? What is sensical about curriculum chosen for its political stance rather than its factual content?
Public schools are unfit for purpose. Worse than that, they are anachronisms. Leftists are fond of saying that we are no longer a homogeneous society. Let’s stipulate they’re correct for a moment. Why, then, are most of America’s children forced to attend these open-air prisons without regard to the suitability between school and child and vice versa? Why are schools set up geographically rather than by academic level?
Didn’t Tipper Gore try to sound the warning on violent video games and TV shows a couple of decades ago, and got ridiculed for it, mainly by other liberals?
My wife was an excellent teacher. She moved a different district 3 times because of the bad behavior she encountered daily and lack of support from administrators, who were afraid of parents who complained when their children were disciplined. My job took me into classrooms where class was in session, and what I observed disgusted me. Kid using the F word in front of the teachers, throwing things. I would have gotten my butt busted in the 60’s, and much worse when my parents found out.Time to close down the public schools and privatize. I don’t see any hope.
She is spot on. Might I add; we need to instill the values back into the public schools that are spoken of in the Holy Bible. That is not say everyone needs to be or should be a Christian.
Discipline takes effort. People are too fat and lazy.
She nailed the REAL causes.
The left is so busy worshiping their gun-grabbing they can’t see the truth, since the truth makes liberalism the primary cause of these mass shootings.
Bump!
Wonder if she likes shooting guns...
Refresh my memory. When was it that they mandated no prayers in schools? When morals become relative, there are no morals.
In my humble opinion it is a very telling fact of life that the most rabid gun control nuts are the exact same folks that are the most rabid pro abort folks. Are they racist, are they trying somewhat successfully to commit genocide on the black population?

What is different between now and when you could order a Thompson sub- machine gun from Sears?
Could it be the evil leftist culture since then ?
Good teacher. We need many more like her.
Good for her!
Will probably receive death threats soon.
Liberal tree hugging mentally ill board of ed administrations across the land are protecting kids who should be institutionalized. and refusing to hire armed guards (retired military and police).
