Authorities are investigating a reported shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland Wednesday.
Officers responded to the school at 5901 Pine Island Road for the reported shooting, Broward Sheriff's Office officials said.
There were reports of victims, BSO officials said.
Coral Springs Police tweeted that that people should stay away from the school due to an active police scene.
No other information was known.
CBS Miami 4 reports suspect taken to:
Broward Health North emergency entrance.
Reported as former student.
“I just think its a shame that most with this illness dont want to take the Meds.”
My husband wouldn’t take his meds. With him, it was all about control. He liked to have everyone around him walking on tip-toes. And he could be very violent. I gave up after 10 years.
Yeah that is NO white “Kid” that person is very Hispanic..wonder if he is DACA
In my state of PA, a student can remain in high school until age 21. The reasoning is that they allow kids to be held back one year per level, those being elementary, middle and high school. They can also re-enroll until age 21 if they drop out before that. I work in special education so we have numerous students who remain until 21. Not sure how it is elsewhere.
In my SE bubble, it seems perfectly logical for kids to have that option. I never considered the potential ramifications of kids in the general population sticking around that long. At that point they are certainly adults, likely going to school with kids as young as 14.
nbc talking about the number of potential fatalities....you can literally hear them rubbing their hands as they speak about this...
Broward is full of whiney scum.....
If that is indeed the perp, and he’s not lily white, I suspect this story will soon disappear down the memory hole.
Prayers to all of the victims and their families.
Of course..NBC wants a high death count so they can push their gun confiscation agenda..meanwhile they have ARMED GUARDS protecting their asses
If he’s “Spanish Speaking” like someone speculated..then YES it will go down the memory hole for sure, especially if it turns out he is DACA
An argument at school that results in a shooting is most certainly a school shooting. Not when the argument is at an intersection 1/2 mile away from a school, at night, and a slug is found in a window frame at the school.
An earlier post says yes, DACA, but I have not seen it confirmed. Not likely, as we’ve been told by dick Durbin that they’re all model citizens, and Pelosi has thanked them for coming here.
After a lot of bumbling by doctors who didn’t know what they were doing, my sister finally was diagnosed and correctly treated by the doctors at Mayo Clinic. She needs to take medication to calm down the confusion and delusions, and she is now finally a “peaceful schizophrenic” (that’s her description if herself). Her symptoms began when she was around 16 years old, she is now 65.
Miami Herald names him as former student Nicolas de Jesus Cruz.

Dreamer? Nah, Dick Durbin said they are all model citizens who pick our fruit
Correct....55% of non indio/mexicans voted for Trump........Broward in liberal scum territory
From that story:
A teacher at the school told the Miami Herald that Cruz, 19, had been identified as a potential threat to fellow students in the past.
We were told last year that he wasnt allowed on campus with a backpack on him, said math teacher Jim Gard, who said the former student suspected in the shootings had been in his class last year. There were problems with him last year threatening students, and I guess he was asked to leave campus.
Gard says he believes the school administration had sent out an email warning teachers that the student had made threats against other in the past and that he should not be allowed on the campus with a backpack. Another student interviewed on the scene by Channel 7 said the student had guns at home.
DACA?
...especially if it turns out he is DACAHe won't.
