Sen. Elizabeth Warren says President Donald Trump disrespects Native Americans by referring to her as "Pocahontas," and she says that while she's not enrolled in any tribe, "I never used my family tree to get a break or ... advance my career."
Warren says her parents married in Oklahoma in 1932, and that "the story they lived will always be a part of me. And no one not even the president of the United States will ever take that part of me away."
Trump frequently refers to Warren as "Pocahontas" to mock the Democrat's claims about being part Native American.

Senator Warren can solve the whole thing by taking a DNA test. My guess is she will continue to refuse because to take one will settle the whole thing.

What a pathetic chronic liar. She must hate American Indians and their heritage to be such a blatant fraud. Why doesn’t this LIB loser and putz take a DNA test and publicize the results.

Actually she is correct. I is disrespecrful to Native Americans to associate this lying Liberal P.O.S. with Native Americans. They may be Libs but at least they are what they claim.

From what I have read she is technically correct. She claimed to be an Indian but not on her application to Harvard..
Harvard knew about her prior claim and used it to bolster their outreach to minorities virtue signalling.

"I never used my family tree to get a break or ... advance my career." An ellipsis for the most important quote in the story? Lame, NBC. Very lame. In a world of virtually unlimited bandwidth there is zero excuse for an ellipsis. Even if you use one on the main story, it better be hyperlinked so one click will show the full quote in context. How many journalistic crimes has the ellipsis covered?

If I get caught in a lie for a claim that I hit three home runs in a major league baseball game and get called "Hank Aaron" for it, Aaron isn't being disrespected. I am as well I should be.

She got the Harvard job because they wanted to hire her husband.
I don't know what she wrote on her application, but the job was hers because they wanted him.
She did represent herself as a minority woman in Harvard publicity after she got the position.
That free publicity may have helped advance her career.

If she got any scholarship of financial aid based of fraud, that is a felony.
What she did was check the box that asks your race. It helped her get the job at Harvard. Then she in checked the box.

A DNA test will show her supposed Native American ancestry. My wife has actual Native American heritage to the same degree as Warren and has a DNA test to prove the family lore that a great grand mother was Iroquois.
