Former president George W. Bush said that “there’s pretty clear evidence that the Russians meddled” in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, during a speech in Abu Dhabi Thursday.
“Whether they affected the outcome is another question,” Bush added.
He called it “problematic” that “a foreign nation is involved in our election system. Our democracy is only as good as people trust the results.”
“He’s got a chip on his shoulder,” Bush said about Putin. “The reason he does is because of the demise of the Soviet Union troubles him. Therefore, much of his moves (are) to regain Soviet hegemony.”
The former president went on to emphasize the importance of NATO and U.S. alliances around the world, claiming Putin “is pushing, constantly pushing, probing weaknesses.”

Okay, there are a lot of things being mixed up in this whole Russia business that folks need to step back a bit on.
First: Did Russia meddle/attempt to influence the 2016 election?
The honest answer is YES, the did. The evidence is very solid they attempted to meddle in the election.
Second: Did the Trump Campaign collude with the Russians to win the 2016 election
The answer to this is, most decidedly NO, if anyone on the Trump campaign was working with the Russians in any way, it certainly was not Trump or anyone of any import within his campaign.
The problem is, the LEFT and the MSM are trying to make the evidence for the answer the FIRST question, as proof that the second question is also true.... Which it is decidedly not.
Did Russia attempt to influence our election? Absolutely, any state that has the means will attempt to interfere with another nations elections if they believe it will benefit them. Our government has done this dozens of times... Hell we have assassinated other nations leaders, and put our own hand picked ones into place many times around the world... Sometimes more covertly that others.
Hell our own sitting President actively and publicly attempted to influence the Brexit (”if you vote for brexit you will go to the back of the line”) vote right before it happend, as well as German parlimentary elections multiple times over the previous 8 years....
It is important that well call the MSM on their attempts to turn the answer to question 1 into the answer for question 2.... But it is equally important that we don’t in our defense of the REAL answer to number ignore the very real answer to number 1!
A foreign power (and honestly I would assume they have done this many times before in various ways) attempted to sway our elections, that’s not something to trivialize! We need to be serious about getting to the bottom of it and try to make sure we minimize it in the future... But we can’t just ignore that it happened, because of the MSM and others playing politics with it trying to make it mean something more than it does.
Every American, regardless of political bent should be rightfully outraged that the Russians attempted to influence the election. And every American should be outraged that Democrats and the MSM are trying to use that fact to claim it cost them the election or that Trump was in collusion with them to do it.
We are no better than the left it we choose to be blind to reality.
I have watched very little broadcast TV since around 1966.
I have heard the name, of course, but don’t remember anything specific. Of course, I remember less and less every day.
oh and finally
QUestion Number 3: Did the meddling by Russia affect the outcome?
And the honest answer to this question is NO IT DID NOT.
That doesn’t mean it might not in the future, which is why every single american should be outraged and on guard to keep it from happening again as much as possible.
The MSM and Dems want to lie about Question 3 as well.
There’s long been clear evidence the Bushes play for the demonrats.
The Bush family and the NFL have much in common.
They did — for Hillary.
Yeah, he made mistakes but he did take the war to Osama and troops instead of being like Obama who tied the hands of our troops so tight it was almost impossible to kill a terrorist. Fortunately Pres. Trump has untied their hands.

state refers to the state department. Our government has said that about Iran for years. But you see how Obama supported Iran. This means Bush went to the wrong country when he invaded Iraq.

But George, explain to me how it was done and what effect it had on our election.
