Democratic Rep. Hakeem Jeffries slammed President Trump for suggesting it was treasonous for Democrats not to applaud during his State of the Union and questioned whether the president and his officials have themselves engaged in treasonous acts.

“Treason is not a laughing matter,” Jeffries, of New York, said during a speech on the House floor Tuesday. “It is a serious crime embedded in the Constitution, punishable by death.

On the surface, the treason accusation in response to their childish and boorish behavior seems over the top. I am thinking that President Trump was signaling his Democratic colleagues( tongue in cheek ) that Treason charges are exactly what they are facing if they are found to be involved with the FBI and DOJ FISA business.

It was during his speech that an attendee shouted out "Treasonous" in which President Trump repeated the person's shout out. In which he repeated it and agreed with the person. So - it wasn't in his speech but became a part of his visit and the way it is being portrayed is that his speech was about the treasonous demoncrats.
