Not that passes the smell test, no. But Page visit Russia and had been approached by Russian spooks, so there was not ZERO material to work with.

My point ws just that the FISA warrant applicant need not allege any specific criminal element, unlike the typical warrant which is bound by the 4th amendment, "no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause [of a crime]"

The starting point of FISA is that neither the constitution nor the courts require a warrant to conduct foreign intelligence surveillance. The FISA system exists to mollify the public that even though a warrant isn't required, the oh so good guys in the government are submitting to court oversight anyway.

Another reason FISA exists is to allow evidience of criminal conduct, if found while conducting foreign intelligence surveillance, to come into court. Otherwise the 4th amendment would bar it.

FISA 702 is essentially a warrant from the legislature, allowing bulk collection and review with ZERO specific allegation by the government.

I still have unanswered doubts about Carter Page and am inclined to speculate that he may have been developed and encouraged to join the Trump campaign just so his taint rubs off on it and trigger the FISA applications.

If that were the case, I hope Page was well-paid. His reputation has been sullied. He is radioactive for anyone who contemplates dealing with him. Where does he go to get his reputation back?

Very important post here and shows just how many people get their news and how little attention they pay to politics.This is the reason that Trumps approval ratings are at 49% instead of 69%. If all these bozos knew what they were talking about supporting Trump would become a no- brainer.
Don’t ever ask one of these clowns the “why” question since they can’t answer any of the whys.

I must confess I am mystified about my rep Trey Gowdy’s leaving. I have attended events when he has been here in upstate SC. Each time I saw him, he looked more and more tense. He also seems to have aged considerably.

He gave this interview saying he has been a lousy politician.

Not Lynch personally for this warrant application. The Carter Page FISA warrant application was approved by DAG Yates, Acting DAG Boente, and DAG Rosenstein.

The cotton farmers do, but they HAVE to spray poisons by federal law (part of the Boll Weevil eradication program that’s like 80 years old—federal programs never seem to die).

Horse and cows can eat it but prefer grass. It does crowd out early spring grasses so animal framers usually spray it, too.

I think Roundup kills it. I don’t spray because it costs a ton—in volume. I’m no environmentalist but I am stingy!

I go to CPAC every year. There are lots of people who understand on a higher level. They devote hours and hours to discerning the truth. There are as Rush calls them “low information voters” who cannot even debate or participate in a rational conversation. It is easy to train people to hate.
In many cases, they are hating, but do not know why they actually are full of hate. They networks need to “keep hate alive” to at least have a few viewers. There are people addicted to hate each day. They need a hit of hate!

There was a time shortly thereafter were I did start seeing Getty Images on FR. Have we reverted back?

I gather the Page testimony before Congress was released based on this article, Carter Page's testimony is filled with bombshells — and supports key portions of the Steele dossier written Nov 6, 2017.

I found it very interesting knowing what we know now. The article sources the usual suspects to make the case that the dossier has been proven largely true, especially as it relates to Page. I found the following excerpt amusing given when it was written:

Four months before, a US intelligence source told Yahoo's Michael Isikoff that Sechin met with Page during Page's three-day trip to Moscow. Sechin, the source told Yahoo, raised the issue of the US lifting sanctions on Russia under Trump.

To those who view the evidence objectively, the press is tainted, disgraced, outed. Yellow journalists. Below National Enquirer quality. The number of people who will see the FBI/DOJ plot, as time goes on, will only increase. Nobody is moving toward believing the press, 100% of those who move, are moving away.

I hope you are right. But many "educated" people think of CNN/NBC/ABC etc. as their "truth." If perhaps 3% of the public has begun to distrust the media, is that enough?

I found the timing of his announcement strange given the fact I had received a fund raising letter from him two weeks ago. It must have been a sudden decision. Maybe the FBI showed him his file.

Agreed although Maria has personality to go with brains and looks she’s perfect for a bigger role than she currently has.One problem may be that she’s a female and a non-anorexic!!
