The target in this smear was Carter Page, who now has a a lawsuit against these very people, as he was smeared with lies, and it was Carter Page whose name first appeared on the government court order or FISA to surveillance, in short to spy on Donald Trump as that is what this entire ruse was about.

Sums it up pretty good. This was all a smear with Carter Page the fall guy.It was always about spying on Donald Trump and later on the campaign as well.
The one thing the pollsters were never quite sure about was how big was the shy Trump vote. Turns out the hidden vote was real.

FISA is radically different from criminal warrants. The AG is suppsoed to do the heavy vetting normally done by a judge. The judge is involved so on paper there is judicial involvment. But the AG and the judge work hand in glove, both wanting the warrant to issue. IOW, the judge trusts the AG, rather than treat him as an arm's length applicant. The judge is put in the position of patsy by the statutory structure and routine goings on.
Probably a well-paying job in a local law firm. Or maybe he will challenge Graham in 2020.

Yesterday I prepared salmon. Gordon Ramsay has his recruits make salmon all the time. I sit out here in la-la land making a grimace. For I do not like salmon.
Or so I thought.
I seared the salmon as instructed then put it into the oven for 10 mins or so, then took out, peeled off the outer skin and ate the salmon with a smile. My salmon looked as good as any Hell’s Kitchen contender.
Adding to my eating adventure, I made grits. I have never in my life even eaten grits much less make them.
I stirred with the whisk, I added the cheese.....this was part of a meal I made with gulf shrimp.
Folks, this food is delicious.
I do not think that They think that way.
I believe they simply hate the president and all he stands for because it destroys their very core values and beliefs.
If they considered a winning strategy, it certainly would not be the current one, as it is failing miserably, nationwide.

I think Maria Bartiromo needs to take over for Chris (my daddy was on 60 Minutes) Wallace. She is hard hitting and, he is a milquetoast.
His case for that is based on numerous false assumptions. There is no need to judge shop in the FISA system. As you point out (and I expand on this a bit), the court is not unreasonably viewed as a rubber stamp.
Blame the AG or whoever is assuming that role. That person is supposed to be "checking" that the investigator isn't off the rails.
I still have unanswered doubts about Carter Page and am inclined to speculate that he may have been developed and encouraged to join the Trump campaign just so his taint rubs off on it and trigger the FISA applications.

Most of us can determine where someone gets their news.
We go to parties and there are certain people who will talk about how they hate Trump, but have no reason to hate Trump.
They are wealthy and living the “American Dream” but they are programmed to hate Trump. I often think they are probably watching a lot of CNN or MSNBC. They only get their news from the standard evening news sources. It is hard to argue with many of these people, especially the liberal Democrats. They are sour and negative and programmed to hate. Their responses are not factual. Some are Republicans too!

WHO appointed them to the various judgeships?
We see how partisan judges throw their weight around: Seattle, Hawaii, 9th Circus...
