Democratic countermemo claims FBI revealed Steele funding in FISA application: report

A Democratic memo written to counter a Republican document released Friday claims that the government presented additional evidence that would undercut the GOP conclusion, according to The New York Times.

Democrats have claimed key information was omitted in the Republican document, which was based on classified documents that have not been released.

Republicans say in their now-public memo that the FBI did not reveal that information underlying a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) request came from a politically motivated source.

The Democratic countermemo reportedly claims that the FBI did reveal the source of the information was politically motivated, according to two Times sources.

Officials may not have told the FISA court that the information was partially funded by Hillary Clinton's campaign and the Democratic National Committee, the Times reported.

Leaked! /s

So they claim the source was disclosed. And the lawyers for DOJ/FBI thought it was credible enough? And the judge to? Where is oversight? Oh, right, secret court.

I seriously doubt that is the case. Why would they release a memo to the public with untrue statements, when they know there is likely more coming?

The latest technique of the disinformation press is to write a headline as if it is a proven fact, then at the end write “:report.” They are such liars.

A Democratic memo written to counter a Republican document released Friday claims that the government presented additional evidence that would undercut the GOP conclusion, according to The New York Times.

The NYT refers to today's memo as the "GOP Memo", but when the counter memo is released the New York times won't refer to it as the "Democrat's Memo", instead it will be referred to as the "Minority Report from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence". Mark my words.

"So, the judge wasn't kept in the dark about the source of the Dossier, and therefore he/she was an active participant in this corruption. "

I wonder how that Judge feels he's been fingered as a perp.

Think of it this way, the DEMs are attacking the integrity of the FIS Court. The court knew the evidence was hinky, because it was told so.

Why doesn’t Trump declassify all the Russia-related documents and transcripts?

Then, why doesn’t Trump send an Executive Order to the DOJ to release all the documents and transcripts to the news media?

Let the voters read the FISA records and make up their own minds.

Wait a minute...so the FISA court knew it was tainted but issued the warrant anyway?

that’s funny. I thought the reason the Dem memo wasn’t released at the same time as the Nunes memo was because, unlike the Nunes memo, the Dem memo is fraught with errors and was still being vetted/cleaned up. But here’s the NYT, already giving commentary. Nice of them to mention that well, maybe the FISA court wasn’t told the dossier was a political document after all. (btw, NYT, thanks for confirming again the dossier was principal in getting FISA thru).

So we are to believe a fisa judge allowed the surveillance on a political hit piece.

Not just this once, but dozens of times over the years.

This is really helpful! The Democrats say that the FISC judge was in on the scam! Great! Now, if the Judge really wasn’t in on the scam, what is he going to be forced to do?

To quote Q-anon: THESE PEOPLE ARE STUPID!!

It is right now a case of he said; he said. Neither Nunes or Schiff offered proof of their allegations. The side which does will be the side that wins. Zeldin said testimony was recorded. I hope it was.
