Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued a statement Friday following the release of the controversial Nunes memo alleging FISA abuse by the FBI and Department of Justice. I have great confidence in the men and women of this Department. But no Department is perfect.
Full statement:
Congress had made inquiries concerning an issue of great importance for the country and concerns have been raised about the Departments performance. I have great confidence in the men and women of this Department. But no Department is perfect.
Accordingly, I will forward to appropriate DOJ components all information I receive from Congress regarding this. I am determined that we will fully and fairly ascertain the truth.
We work for the American people and are accountable to them and those they have elected. We will meet that responsibility.
Sessions has proven to be totally incompetent. He is scared to death of the Dems. Why would he ignore this memo? Why does he leave Strzok and Rosenstein at their jobs? Why does he allow Wray to appoint a signer of these fraudulent Warrant Applications to Head of FBI Legal Counsel? Why is he replacing Strzok with another FBI political lifer?
It is pathetic.
So many individuals in political roles aspire so badly to be seen as "statesmen," but they neglect to really understand the meaning of the word...
Not to be obtuse, but can you cite criminal code?
Dan Bongino for FBI Director.
“Sessions has proven to be totally incompetent. He is scared to death of the Dems. Why would he ignore this memo?”
He may be scared but his actions betray something a lot more sinister. He’s compromised. No doubt in my mind.
With Sessions and the party of Bush running interference for the corrupt state, there will be no justice.
Dark times.
Nixon forced Eliot Richardson and William Ruckelshaus to resign when they refused his orders to fire Archibald Cox. He got Robert Bork to do so, as third in command. (The Democrats got their revenge in the next decade, blocking Bork’s nomination to the Supreme Court.) Can Sessions be forced to resign, or for that matter Rosenstein, or will they refuse to do so, waiting to be fired? It would matter little to Sessions, as his Senate pension is waiting. I’m not sure about Rosenstein.
RR isn’t even 55 and has more than 25 years in the DOJ. Max pension, not to mention the high six- or maybe seven-figure private sector job he’ll get.
I said he didhe harassed Sessions on multiple occasions in public (unnecessary recusal, not protecting him, not firing anyone, etc.).
BINGO!! BINGO!! BINGO!! You nailed it!!
While I disagree with nearly every assessment of Sessions here, Trey Gowdy will soon be available.

Why you pinging for approval? I’m not arguing with you.
I simply suggest that sometimes things aren’t what they seem. I think it highly likely that Sessions and Trump are playing a game. I could be wrong, but I think the math is in my favor.
Well said.
I think he is just out of his depth and doesn't know what to do. He acts like he's still in the Senate.
I understand that. The other two, didnt.
We were incredibly lucky to dodge the Clinton/Rat bullet last election. We are truly BLESSED!! However, can we keep the republic!? I am not so sure. The extent of the corruption is astounding. And what have we yet to uncover, if we can get that far before the Rats take over.
Interesting analysis. Thanks.
I don’t for a second believe that Sessions is part of the Swamp. However, I do suspect that he has reached the “Peter principle”.
I see Sessions as a proud, soft spoken, deep thinking and honorable man. He is now in a job that requires the addition of something much different.
America needs a fire breathing crazy man with a meat cleaver and a thirst for blood. While we need a professional that knows what he is doing in that job, we need him to be willing to be an a$$hole and to act NOW.
If the Pubes lose the mid-terms, and control of Congress, it is OVER!!! We can’t wait!! Get it!!!!
If he meets the qualifications, he’s da man!!!
