Top FBI official Andrew McCabe has been "removed" from his post as deputy director, Fox News is told, leaving the bureau after months of conflict-of-interest complaints from Republicans including President Trump.
A source confirmed to Fox News that McCabe is taking terminal leave effectively taking vacation until he reaches his planned retirement in a matter of weeks. As such, he will not be reporting to work at the FBI anymore.

I bet he will. He can still be prosecuted.
Understood.
Most of the articles carefully (very carefully) explain that he is taking terminal leave.
But some articles say he was removed.
And some articles say the President didn't make the decision.
It just makes me wonder.
Yep. Arkancide is a terrible way to go.
Good point. Very Q-like.
SO THIS BASTIGE KNEW ALL ALONG THE RUSSIAN COLLUSION STORY WAS LIES AND YET APPOINTED A SPECIAL COUNSEL TO GO ON A WITCH HUNT?
AND HE’S THE SOURCE?????
Sometimes you gotta do what’s best for the country ya know.
To set up house in a non-extradition country???
He’s a government employee. Promote him and transfer him.
And that was supported by Sessions as well
He needs to be arrested and fired before the retirement pay kicks in.
Yeah, don’t hold your breath.
He probably got to keep his cell phone/s and computer/s, and any stash of files he snuck out and took home, if any. They won’t shut off his email or voicemail for another month or two.... Just like the real world, right?
;-)
They can still subpoena him. And he probably left the FBI because he has to plead the Fifth Amendment in any proceeding where he's questioned about his role in the FISA/Comey/Clinton nonsense in 2015-16.
The first domino.
Is this what they call “between a rock and a hard place”?
Do I want my pension?
Do I want to live?
He deserves years in pension-less penury. He deserves any sleepless nights he might have waiting for the Clinton Mafia to show up. You don’t get to live a life of crime, and screw the American people, and expect to have wonderful golden years.
“now he doesnt have to testify to the house committee....”
Of course he does, if they subpoena him. A person can’t do crimes against their employer — embezzlement, etc. — and think that quitting his job gets him off the hook forever. He doesn’t get to skate.
I wonder if Wray shared the memo’s info with Strzok and Page this morning.

FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe was forced to resign Monday, just as the House Intelligence Committee is expected to vote on the public release of a classified memo this afternoon revealing extensive Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuse under the Obama administration, sources told this reporter.
McCabe apparently lashed out to his colleagues when he was told he would be asked to resign, according to sources. FBI Director Christopher Wray viewed the four-page memo on Sunday, sources familiar with the discussions said.
McCabe, who is facing three federal inquiries for conflicts-of-interest during his time at the FBI, is one of the numerous names mentioned in the classified memo detailing FISA abuse, according to sources who reviewed the memo.
The federal inquiries into allegations against McCabe, who was expected to resign in March, are based on documents and interviews conducted by this reporter over the past year and range from sexual discrimination to improper political activity.

The human resource language in this news report is fairly common for senior executives in business or in government.
Your boss gives you the option to “resign” or get fired.
In this case, the guy had accumulated vacation time that carries him the rest of the way to his maximum pension.
Most likely, that vacation time would have been added to his final pay check, if he had not resigned.
I suspect he was hoping to “work” during the full period before his pension started.
Can’t blame him...
He’s about to get nailed for big time legal fees, plus, his wife will probably divorce him and take half his pension, plus, if he’s convicted of a serious crime, the government can revoke his half of the pension.
