Florida is the worst state in the nation in every way, new rankings say
Miami Hurled ^ | 1/28/18 | HOWARD COHEN

Florida ranks dead last when it comes to rating the best states in the nation. Michigan ranks No. 1, the very best state in the union.

Let that sink in for awhile. Michigan, the state that gave us the Motor City Madman, Ted Nugent and Kid Rock (the poor man’s Ted Nugent), is 49 states better than Florida.

Thrillist’s Definitive and Final Ranking of All 50 States list ranked the states “based on everything.” Specifically, the states’ contributions to America, like inventions, food and drink, “somewhat productive famous people,” and unique physical beauty, among other things.

I was surprised to learn Publix is the largest employee owned and operated enterprise in the world.

Are there any Manatees there?

They’d need some big bathtubs.

Publix subs are the best!!!

I order the Boars Head small on white with all the trimmings of choice and I ask for the house dressing. Very filling for one person.

You can have Provolone cheese or Swiss...I get the Swiss as the Provo can be mealy in a sub sandwich.

At dinner time I heat the sammich on cradling foil in the oven or under the broiler at for enough minutes till the insides heat up a little and the cheese melts a little...just watch it so the bread doesn't burn.

Heaven is....a Publix sub.

But don't let this be known to the liberals in Michigan, New York City, New Joisey, etc...it might entice them down here.

I love Maryland...just hate the taxes, especially as I’m contemplating retirement. Oh...and also the fact that my vote never counts.

I can’t go back to Florida.

At least their Attorney General says I can’t.

I saw all this lettuce floating around in the Manatee exhibit, and being the nice guy that I am, I go and get them some Blue Cheese dressing.

And I’m not talking that cheap stuff. I got them the real stuff. Real chunks of blue cheese.

Well, I whistle for the Manatees and call them to come over and get their Blue Cheese dressing to put on all that waterlogged lettuce in their pool.

Evidently, their sense of hearing isn’t so good so they just lie in that pool like Hillary Clinton waiting for a bus.

So I toss them the bottle of Blue Cheese dressing.

Underhand, real easy like.

Well, the rangers or whatever they call themselves were on me like I was throwing grenades or something at them.

So, they throw me out of Florida.

Poor things.

I never got the chance to throw em those croutons I bought.

Lynard Skynard= Jacksonville
Johnny Depp= Hallandale
Allman Brothers = Jacksonville

Lynard Skynard dedicated their song Freebird to Greg Allman for the influence he had on their music.

If they are not busy they might slice up a more exotic cheese for your sub. I did this once.

Allman Brothers are from Macon Georgia.

I disqualify Skynyrd from being a Florida band because of “Sweet Home Alabama”.

Yes it is. When you look at population growth, there seem to be a lot of people moving to Florida. Michigan, not so much.

I love the panhandle. I recently bought a small lot in Wewa on the Dead Lakes. Can’t wait to get it going for retirement in a couple years.

Ok, granted, Florida gave us Tom Petty, but outside of that, what has been Florida's contribution?

Well, OK, it's been a while, but...

(and I remember these)

"Allman Brothers are from Macon Georgia."

(ahem)Maybe it was Daytona Beach:

Greg Allman Biography

1960-1968

"The two Allman brothers began meeting various musicians in the Daytona Beach area."

1969-1971

"The Allman Brothers Band moved to Macon, Georgia,[39]"
