FULL TITLE:Kelli Ward: Ronald Reagan’s Biggest Regret Was Granting Amnesty and Trusting Congress on Border Security
“President Reagan’s biggest regret as president was granting amnesty and then trusting Congress to deliver on border security,” said 2018 Republican Senate candidate Kelli Ward, expressing opposition to the White House’s recently released amnesty proposal.
Ward’s comments came in an interview with Breitbart News’s Washington Political Editor Matt Boyle on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Saturday.
“We have to learn from our history,” advised Ward. “In 1986, Ronald Reagan–great president, amazing conservative, lover of liberty and of America–granted amnesty; and Ed Rollins, who is helping me with my campaign, told me that President Reagan’s biggest regret as president was granting amnesty and then trusting Congress to deliver on border security. It didn’t happen then, and it’s not going to happen now if we do this in the wrong order.”
Amnesty advocates seek to mislead Americans with the euphemisms “permanent solution” and “comprehensive immigration reform” as rhetorical rebrandings of amnesty, said Ward.

If there is one thing Trump should never ever do is grant amnesty, ever. Even if it means the wall never gets built, don’t do it Mr. President. These are foreigners who shouldn’t be here, we owe them NOTHING. If I don’t pay my taxes am I owed anything? Am I above prosecution? Then WHY would you ever PARDON - which is what amnesty is - foreign criminals? They are owed NOHHING EXCEPT DEPORTATION ASAP!
The Bush League Republicans are using Joe’s ego to crowd the field so they can sneak McSally in as the next Amnesty Senator from AZ.
And we have the same do nothing Congress now. Actually I believe this Congress are made up of fools and so damn anti Americans.
Sadly, Ward likely couldn’t beat Sinema, so it will probably have to be the horrid McSally.
Bush I was the architect of the Bush Plan for North Mexico (aka USA).
It was his responsibility to implement the enforcement and border security portions of that amnesty bill that we never saw.
The reason we have 30 million illegal aliens is the next 4 Presidents refused to enforce the laws and borders.
Plus they’re well paid by their globalist handlers!
You must be a Bush League Republican who wants to force the rest of us into another amnesty.

Actually, Republicans were complicit, too. And that is another issue.
It is the “Wimpy” version of political promises.... “I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today” only the hamburger is never paid for.
And that’s why Trump insists on all “transactions” of any deal be accomplished at same time - he knows the Dems can’t be trusted and will not allow them to walk away with a “win” while leaving the People dangling.
You mean, Democrats back then were liars and backstabbers? Gee, what changed?
Trump cannot even trust people in his own party to do the right thing. Many of them just want to be on t.v., starved for attention. They have a habit of stirring the pot.
I hope that voters don’t fall for McSally’s McBS.
