The Flu Is FAR WORSE Than We’re Being Told: Tens Of Thousands Of Americans Are DYING
The Burning Platform ^ | 1-27-2018 | Cat Ellis

We all know that this year’s flu season is bad. I have been pouring over numbers and reports over the past few days, and it’s actually even worse than we’re hearing about. Tens of thousands of Americans are dying. It’s now worse than the 2009 swine flu outbreak and is on track with the 2014-15 strain. And it’s not showing any signs of slowing down.

Despite this, the media is downplaying the severity of the flu and the government makes the statistics pretty difficult to find. Are they trying to avoid a panic? Do they know something we don’t?

Here’s what you need to know about why this year’s flu is so dangerous.

This Year’s Flu Strain Is More Deadly

The dominant Influenza strain this year is H3N2. This particular strain has a history of causing more hospitalizations and more deaths. According to the CDC:

In the past, H3N2-predominant seasons have been associated with more severe illness and higher mortality, especially in older people and young children, relative to H1N1- or B-predominant seasons. Between 1976 and 2007, for example, CDC estimates that an average of 28,909 people died from flu during H3N2 seasons, compared to 10,648 people during non-H3N2 predominant years.

That’s a difference of 18,261 adults each year. And that’s in a good year.

In addition to H3N2 producing a more serious infection in general, this year’s particular H3N2 influenza virus is particularly virulent. The number of deaths due to influenza or complications to the flu, such as pneumonia (a secondary bacterial infection following influenza), varies from year to year.

An August 27, 2010 MMWR report entitled “Thompson MG et al. Updated Estimates of Mortality Associated with Seasonal Influenza through the 2006-2007 Influenza Season. MMWR 2010; 59(33): 1057-1062.,” provided estimates of the range of flu-associated deaths

IT IS NOT THE FLU

Now in my 12th day after flu shot. I know people who are still getting them because of all the bad news, magnified by local drugstores running out of vaccine.

Had one day where I was headachey and slept all day, maybe reaction to the shot? (day 9 or 10 after the shot). I am more bothered by a smoke/CO detector that keeps telling me her battery is running low.

Since the CDC has basically said the vaccine is useless this year the best thing to do is assume you haven’t been vaccinated.

My niece is a pharmacist. She and her hubby were one of the first to get vaccinated last fall when the new vaccine came out. She came down with the flu end of November’ish. Went to work feeling like crap for 2 days before she finally broke down and went to the doctor. Because *drum roll*, ‘I can’t have the flu, I’ve had the vaccine’. Well, she DID have the flu, A strain, and spent the better part of the next week in the hospital. Her hubby too in fact. My SIL was run ragged with all that and taking care of gkids too.

The scary thing, to me, is this...she worked for 2 days while symptomatic. How many patient prescription bottles did she send home with a healthy dose of flu a? Because, ‘I’ve been vaccinated, it can’t be the flu!’.

Or you could take magnesium with the calcium. Magnesium regulates proper calcium absorbtion.

Doses for transient acute problems are higher than maintenance doses.

Actually it has to do with the action of vitamin d3 and vitamin k2 on a specific protein. One (d3) does ‘step one’, the other (k2) does ‘step two’. Both steps have to be completed or the calcium stays in the wrong places.

1. They’re not sure how many people actually die from the flu each year

2. We can’t tell how many fewer deaths occur each year because the vaccine was given

3. If the Pharmaceutical companies didn’t take a stab at building a vaccine, they’d be attacked viciously for leaving the public unprotected

4. It’s all a prediction game. It’s very difficult to predict in January through March what the bugs will look like in October - February. Nobody has come up with a better way yet. For now, we go with what we’ve been doing. Makes sense.

5. Pharmaceutical companies put a lot of effort into producing the vaccine. They do so in large numbers so everyone that wants protection can have it.

6. Pharmaceutical companies that have stuck their necks out to do the best they can, have a reasoned expectation that they will be able to move the vaccine.

7. That IS NOT solely for the pharmaceutical companies benefit. If they went to all that effort and didn’t sell vaccine, with 24 months there would no longer be a vaccine available.

8. Folks, life isn’t perfect. There isn’t always a boggy man around every corner.

9. I read an article here on the forum in the last few days, where they’ve tried a different method to combat the flu. It’s a vaccine made a different way. They have had good success in animals. It’s effective against all strains of influenza. Hopefully in the next few years, they’ll crack this sucker wide open, and there will no longer be a flu epidemic each year. Until then folks will bitch and moan.

Isn’t life grand...

NAC enhances cellular levels of glutathione. In short it makes your cell work better and handle the stress of figting a disease better. it is known to both fight the flu and help prevent you getting the flu. And like elderberries/sambucus, it helps reduce overboard inflammation from damaging your body when you have the flu.

I have COPD, and the NAC really helps my respiration. So does Now Respiratory Care Probiotic (Lactobacillus acidophilus NCFM and Bifidobacterium lactis bl04).

Ok, that’s a new one. I’ll have to look those strains up.

You miss my point: The state of health in this country is such that even the demographic which should be resistant to the flu have weakened immune systems.

It’s one of the premise of my book. The very young and elderly likewise do NOT need to needlessly die.

It is a synergy of effects which lead to the complications, for many I believe preventable.

I know 70% are going to get it anyway if exposed and vulnerable. I started taking lots of D and C 2 years ago after complaining at my local health food store that I was getting more colds than usual. Hope that is helping.

I have my suspicions about all the deaths in the nursing homes, but apparently the peak boomers (below 65) are getting it big-time too and are dying from it.

I have 1 friend with asthma, 1 with COPD—really hope they don’t get it. The friend home with the broken wrist will probably be fine as long as she doesn’t get too many visitors.

Your kiddies are lucky to have such a savvy mom.

Ask your doc about taking vitamin k2 if you’re taking a lot of d3. They’re best friends.

The worst deaths would probably correlate to those with lowest d3 levels.

Or other health issues. Boomers aren’t young’uns anymore. And they’re way fatter and unhealthier than previous generations were at that age.

The other thing we do when we get sick is low carb. ‘Bugs’ love sugar. So we don’t feed the bugs :). Lots of chicken broth, scrambled eggs and other low carb comfort foods. But no dairy, that’s gross thrown up.

I agree with you on that. Especially the state of health of infants to adults, from microbiome to insulin dysregulation. Some influenza strains, however are especially harmful to "healthy" individuals. That is the issue of cytokine storms. I suspect that from the type of hospitalizations we are seeing here. Ill health adds to the misery.

I agree we are a mess. It is an existential threat. People disagree with my assessment. Some say Proctor and Gamble. I lay the blame at Keys.

It was reported in my area that the flu shots are not protecting people from the flu this year, so I did not get one. I had ‘somethin in Aug/Sep that I called the ‘crud’, however it was probably the flu, it did take a trip to Doctor to get rid of it! It eventually became bronchitis requiring meds. It was over by holidays.

Carbon monoxide poisoning is one of the side effects of a bad flue.

How does that work?

CO is produced by incomplete oxidation of carbon. Are you saying that the flu causes humans to do that metabolically, thus poisoning themselves?

I doubt such a theory. If it were true, we'd all have heard about it long ago.
