House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) slammed President Trump’s framework for immigration reform that was submitted to lawmakers on Capitol Hill Thursday. She referred to the framework as “part of the Trump Administration’s unmistakable campaign to make America white again.”
“The Administration’s anti-immigrant framework is an act of staggering cowardice which attempts to hold the DREAMers hostage to a hateful anti-immigrant scheme,” she wrote in a statement Friday.
“The 50 percent cut to legal immigration in the framework and the recent announcements to end Temporary Protected Status for Central Americans and Haitians are both part of the same cruel agenda,” she claimed.
She emphasized that “the DREAMers will not be ransomed for a hateful agenda that betrays our sacred American values.”
The framework includes a permanent fix on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, funding for a border wall, and an end to the visa lottery and chain migration programs.
The White House would concede a path to citizenship for 1.8 million DACA recipients or those who are eligible for DACA but never signed up.
"This is a compromise position that we believe will get 60 votes in the Senate," a White House official said of the framework.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is also criticizing the framework, claiming Trump is using DREAMers as “a tool to tear apart our legal immigration system.”
President Trump responded via Twitter:

The Democrats can no longer convince enough Americans to vote for them so their goal is to bring in millions of new people who will. 1.8 million is nowhere near enough. They need a neverending stream of new voters. DACA has always been a ‘for the children ‘ smoke screen for their true intentions. Their goal has always been to replace one voting citizenry with another. Anything that impedes that mission must be rejected. Trump is forcing the Democrats to show everyone it’s never been about DACA, so, wave to the DACA *kids* as they go under the bus.
The rats want to make America poor dumb brown and enslaved.

Pelosi evidently does not even understand existing immigration law. (Well, I suppose that’s no surprise.)
If the present per country “quotas” (they are actually “limits”) are all reduced by 50%, then the potential number of Polish legal immigrants are reduced just as much as the potential number of Mexican legal immigrants. This is racist?
Of course, Trump says he wants to go to a merit based system: I would have no problem if then we simply add up the total, cut it 50%, and then say we will focus on letting the most meritorious candidates in, regardless of nationality (assuming they can be properly vetted.)

Nancy seems to have a problem with white people that populate counties where “people of color” chose to go when they escape the sh*thole where they were born. Nancy may also want to look in a mirror sometime or have a friend tell her what color skin she has.
