New York Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Friday that a coalition of East Coast states will sue the federal government over the Trump-signed tax overhaul, in the latest bid to undermine the law that Republicans have cheered.
The states -- New York, New Jersey and Connecticut -- appear to be taking aim at a provision that limits residents' state and local tax deduction (SALT) to $10,000. While the law contains sweeping tax rate cuts for businesses and individuals, taxpayers in high-tax states like those in the Northeast are expected to take a hit from the SALT change.
Cuomo called it an "economic missile."
"The elimination of full state and local deductibility is a blatantly partisan and unlawful attack on New York that uses our hardworking families and tax dollars as a piggy bank to pay for tax cuts for corporations and other states,” Cuomo said in a statement. “This coalition will take the federal government to court to protect our residents from this assault."

RFQ’s for a favorable ruling on the suit are being circulated for lowest bid among judges ad we speak. The new normal. Judge shopping at least until the USSC. A good four years of earnings bouncing from circuit judge to circuit judge like ping-pong.
So, can individual counties in New York State sue NYS to stop funding the wealthy in NYC and Westchester county?
Ping.
Suing on the basis that full state and local taxes have been fully deductable since the very beginning of the federal income tax more than 100 years ago.
And all this time I thought the dems always wanted to raise taxes on the rich.
These freaks are getting loonier by the day.
The courts are totally out of control to be even discussing judging the motives of the legislators.
And they do it all the time.
Just the ‘Rats protecting the 1% from having to pay their “fair share” of taxes.

Win elections make decisions, lose elections obey the law.
No precedent needed, only a bought judge. He can find one that will agree with him...as well as an appellant court.
I do not want to subsidize your citizens. They own it.
