I believe that one of the DEMS statements was that the memo contained “FACTS” which made things look bad.
Truth and Facts.... the enemy of our politicians.
Translation:
"It is a partisan document that is attempting to mislead people, but in case it is released I don't want the supporting information released because it would show that I just lied to you."
“It was not a long memo,” she said. “It was crafted in a way that would create a misimpression based on classified information that I’ve reviewed long ago and cites sources that are highly classified.”
SO... she admits that the memo contains FACTUAL PROVEN information from highly classified sources and that she knew about these criminal activities LONG AGO.

Clever wording. Lacing the word classified into the sentence. The Rats know the sources can remain classified.
What the Rats and DOJ is setting up is a judge stepping in and blocking the release citing classified content. Brace yourselves because I think that is what’s next.
In other words, it’s generally accurate and without the usual Democrat spin.
It’s coming out, 2 weeks max.
Nunes committee has to vote it out first.
If Trump says no then the entire House can vote it out in a closed session. Then it can’t be stopped.
The big issue is releasing the supporting docs.
Perhaps not, but for the moment it may turn on a need to know element.
There may be reasons for no public disclosure, from both a national security/intel aspect as and for prudent litigation purposes. If so, we should hope the House uses good sense.
In fact, it probably should not have been released to certain Dems that are subject to suffering from head colds.
What would be just as satisfying to many of us is the timely (meaning very soon) filing of numerous civil or criminal actions v high profile individuals both in and out of government.
Make that “and criminal actions”.
The hype and expectations are now so huge that no matter what is in it will be downplayed by the Dems and MSM. And the DOJ will criticize it as well. The Reps should be prepared to release the underlying evidence. The Deep State will not go down without a fight.
I am sick of hearing the Reps give the perfunctory preface that they support the rank and file of the FBI and the DOJ and that it is the leadership that is corrupt. The fact is that many in the "rank and file" knew what was going on and failed to blow the whistle. We really don't know how far down the line the corruption goes. I am not about to give them all a pass except for a dozen or so bad apples. There are bushels of bad apples in the FBI and DOJ it appears.
We've been discussing this memo for over a week. Just how long does it take Nunes to convene his committee for a vote?
No doubt there may be some truth in that, but the report is a political document in that it exposes a much larger problem of government violating people's civil rights to support a political candidate. The Intel community was marshaled to spy on a Presidential candidate and then his transition team to sully him and perhaps have him removed from office based on an ops research document. The Trump campaign investigation began in July 2016. In five months, it will be two years of investigations without any evidence of a crime associated with the President.
It is more important that the public be informed now about the most serious political scandal in our history. As much as I want criminal charges against the perps, I am willing to risk jeopardizing litigation to get this information out to the public sooner rather than later. I want it out prior to Mueller's meeting with the President.
Why didn’t they convene for a vote yesterday or the day before that? Today’s as good a day as any...oh well.
The RATs are too arrogant and far too stupid to accept that the American people won’t put up with them not releasing the memo.
I don't think the order of those two events (assuming at least for discussion sake that Trump does agree to meet with Mueller) matters. Mueller and his team aren;t going to change their approach or lose their enthusiasm for spearing Trump.
I'm thinking ahead a bit and wondering how Rosenstein is going to handle his role when Mueller winds down the SC shop.
The only action reserved by the public, of course, is to vote the elected out of office. Wouldn't you rather see both the elected and non-elected face uncompromised prosecution and, as appropriate, imprisonment?
Trump can control the schedule and condition of any meeting with Mueller. Elsewhere I have suggested Trump ought to be eager for a meeting under the same conditions extended to Hillary, but with a Trump Twist. Trump could publically proclaim that since he is the guy that can fire Mueller, he will trade questions with Mueller and the meeting will be televised to the public.
The original strategy was for the democrats to ignore the memo and for none of the democrats to read it.
After the “release the memo” movement started to take hold, several democrats criticized the memo and were then forced to admit that they had never actually read it. So now a couple of democrats have been designated as the official purveyors of the democrat talking points and have had to go and read it.

I think it’s important to point out the fallacy of that statement, which has been parroted by Democrats, the mainstream media and more than a few conservatives: Contrary to what Adam Schiff and the media have said repeatedly, the Republican members of the HPSCI did NOT draft the memo. The memo was prepared by the committee staff, with input from members’ staff (mostly, if not all, Republican members BECAUSE THE DEMOCRATS REFUSED TO PARTICIPATE) and guidance from committee members, Democrat and Republican.
Committee staff members are professional staff members - many ex-military - who serve as committee staff, no matter which party chairs the committee. Committee staff are generally selected for their professional expertise in a specific area(s). Having met with many committee staff members on both House and Senate committees on intelligence and other areas, I can attest to the fact that, by and large, committee staff members are vehemently non-partisan.
Questions for hearings, requests for information and subpoenas are drafted by committee staff, approved by members and the resulting data is compiled by committee staff. They, as well as a few personal staff (which are openly partisan) are the people you see sitting behind members in hearings.
That congressional calendar is an embarrassment. They work 22 four-day weeks per year and make about $180,000?
They've already started discounting the memo as a big nothing burger.
The way the congress is mishandling this deal, I'm starting to believe the same thing myself.
