Florida congresswoman and former DNC chief Debbie Wasserman Schultz joined House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Thursday to ridicule the economic repercussions of recent tax reform legislation.
An audience at Florida Atlantic University witnessed Ms. Pelosi double down this morning on her recent crumb criticism of cash bonuses given out by companies like Apple, AT&T, Boeing, Comcast, Disney, Home Depot, Fiat Chrysler, Southwest Airlines, Verizon, Wal-Mart and Well Fargo. The event, which was sponsored by the group Not One Penny, included Ms. Wasserman Schultzs assertion that $1,000 doesnt go very far almost anyone.

... Oh, you were talking about a computer - never mind...
$1000 is a lot of money to a lot of people.
20 odd years ago I was courted by the top dogs to be head of my dept. One of my demands was that all the folks under me get a 1% Christmas bonus.
Management agreed. After a couple years the others in the company who didn’t get bonuses found out and holy hell broke loose.
We ended up continuing with ours and nothing for the rest of the company.
It was nowhere near $1000 but the jealously from those who didn’t receive it remained for years.
Hillary woiuld redeistribute? Nah. She’d take the thousand and stick it in her pocket.
Kudos to you and your coworker for helping them out.
It amazes me that Dems are taking this approach. They should have a clue that every time they say this it’s ticking off a lot of voters that could really use an extra $1,000 but they’re clueless.
These shot nosed elites just keep making campaign commercials for the Tepublicans.
Not if only the Pubbies had the guts to produce them...
Marie Antoinette (1700’s): Let them eat cake
Democrats (2018): They shouldn’t even get crumbs
I hope criminals like DWS start going to jail soon. If she had any sense she would just STFU and hope people forget about her.
The idiot chorus continues.
Excuse while I wipe the diet coke off of MY laptop, lol.
Wonder what would happen if I told my employees that we were going to give you a $1000 bonus but, we were afraid Pelosi would say it is not enough so we just skipped it.
Would that I might get such a “crumb”.
A $1,000 bonus truly must seem like a “crumb” to Pelosi, the richest person in the Senate with a net worth exceeding 100 million dollars.
Strike “Senate”, I meant The House and the Senate.
Yet my buying power is starting to do something it never did under Obama - going up instead of down....
To Schulz a $1k is about 1 or 2 days pay?
$1,000.00 is not much to political fat cats. But to many Americans it’s significant; for instance, it would enable me to erase about 1/3 of my credit card debt.
Absolutely right!
I was thinking $1000 would provide an entire nice Christmas to a family of 4, then no January bills to face. But to the elites, I guess it would be a “crummy” Christmas.
