Investigative journalist Sara Carter joined "Fox & Friends" Tuesday morning to react to newly revealed text messages exchanged between top FBI counterintelligence official Peter Strzok and senior FBI lawyer Lisa Page, with whom Strzok was having an extramarital affair.
According to Reps. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) and Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-Texas), who saw the messages, Strzok makes reference to a "secret society" of anti-Trump agents within the Department of Justice and the FBI who had their first meeting the day after Trump won the election in November 2016.
Sen. Ron Johnson sayshe has made contact with an informant who told him the "secret society" does exist.
Carter pointed out that previously revealed Strzok-Page texts alluded to an "insurance policy" that could be used if Trump won the presidency. "Their worst nightmare has come true, the president is elected. That is something they did not expect. FBI sources said from the very beginning that they didn't want Trump to make it into office."

Is it impossible to fire anyone in government or what.
I suspect that they are still there because, if they were fired, it would be very difficult to bring sedition charges against them.
I wonder the exact same thing.
They should be in prison.
I wonder if they’re still texting and continuing on their mission? After all, nothing ever happens to people like this.
The way to get rid of them is with the word “fire” from the commander of the firing squad. These are no ordinary times.
They should at least be suspended since their very presence at the workplace is a threat to the safety and security of the other employees who work at the FBI. I certainly wouldn’t want to have to work with them, or around them.
The answer to their question rests in another: Why is Christopher Wray still there?
I have been saying this on FR since Nov. 2017. Many FReepers call it Sessions Bashing. They don’t seem to appreciate the pointing out of sheer stupidity on Sessions part. Why would Sessions leave Strzok in the FBI and Page, now back in the DOJ? Letting them destroy evidence, texts, calls, reports, computers, etc... No one has looked into why Page was on Meuller’s Team and why & when she left there. This is too much to ask in regards to Sedition & Treason. Just like Hillary keeping her Security Clearance after she left State. She needed to manipulate evidence.
All very good questions. And all of it belongs to Trump. Sessions and the current FBI director are his appointees.
“Is it impossible to fire anyone in government or what.”
If you fire them and then try to subpoena them afterwards, it will be harder to get them to show up. Trump is keeping these crooks on staff for a reason.
I agree there is a reason. The best possible outcome for those two is to get fired at this point.
I’m somewhat surprised they haven’t resigned. There has to be something hanging over their heads to make that a bad idea.
Only the President via the fake Russia scandal.
Bottom line Sessions is shielding career government criminals from prosecution. Jeff Sessions is putting the USA and the Trump Presidency at great risk. He needs to resign or be fired ASAP.
They are still in there because the Democrats would scream bloody murder/Obstruction of justice and the whole nine yards if they got fired.
And would this Secret Society be limited to just the FBI?
How about the CIA? The NSA? The DNA?
State Dept.? Treasury Dept.?
Oh yeah. Members of the previous Presidency?
“FBI Agents Want to Know Why Strzok and Page Are Still There”
Sure Sarah /rolleyes. They’re the rule not the exception.
Why would Sessions leave Strzok in the FBI and Page, now back in the DOJ? Letting them destroy evidence, texts, calls, reports, computers, etc...
Exactly. Good post. It’s been painfully obvious since Sessions first recused himself that he’s a beady-eyed deep-state compromised rat bastard. I said exactly that at the time.
The tragedy is there are so many maroons here and on twitter still defending the POS. The call for his ouster should be loud and unified.
