Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) confirmed on Tuesday that he has withdrawn his offer to discuss funding for the U.S.-Mexico border wall as part of a deal with President Trump. "We're going to have to start on a new basis and the wall offer is off the table," Schumer told reporters, saying that the offer was initially "part of a package." The reversal comes after Schumer said he offered to discuss the wall a key campaign pledge of Trump's during a White House meeting on Friday. "During the meeting, in exchange for strong [Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)] protections, I reluctantly put the border wall on the table for the discussion. Even that was not enough to entice the president to finish the deal," Schumer said from the Senate floor early Saturday. But Schumer said that the president, while initially seeming interested, refused the agreement.

Schumer’s Surrender
Actually Trump remade that Hollywood classic with Chuck in the lead, “Weekend with Bernie”.
I’d really like to see CRs for one year to close the gap for essential and important services. Start a priority list. Fund active duty military, parks, passports etc. Congress might as well start now because chuck-U will “shut down” the government again.
The deportations start March 8th.
John Candy’s funniest scene, and sooo apropo here.
Just watch Trump negotiate.
I doubt that you will be able to learn anything but when it’s all done we’re going to have a Wall, and you’ll have to bitch about something else
No WALL! No daca!
25 to 8.
Wonder who is going to win with those odds?
/S
I tell ya.
Trump is holding a straight flush right now and is playing this out for his ratings. /S (the rating part...well, maybe...not really)
They, Chuck, got nothing to trade with us.
They want DACA? Fine.
We want about five things ourselves.
Tell you what: You give us our 5 things and you get DACA.
Dear Mr. Schumer,
Your party does NOT hold the majority if seats in either the Senate or the House of Representatives. In other words, you are most emphatically NOT the party in power, and you have next to no say in the current administration’s agenda.
Suck it up, Buttercup. You lost, and the adults are in charge now, so go sit and pout in your corner if you don’t want to be part of the solution that you and your ilk created in the first place.
Good day.
Hahahah. Chuckie things he is in a position to dictate negotiations with the guy who wrote “Art of the Deal”. That is rich.
Agreed
No sir I am very sorry to inform you that McConnell removed the 5 things you refer to and allow them to proceed with a stand alone DACA vote which will now absolutely pass with all democrats and rinos like Flake, Collins,Cornyn, McConnel, mercowski, Shelby— you name um . this is over. That is what I see and each day I an more sure that I am absolutely right. McConnell hates Trump and hates us and sold us out! Trump will be forced to veto the bill and look real bad doing it. Trump should have stopped this but I dont think they saw it in the White house until it was over.
What does Trump negotiate with? Now that he does not have Daca. Give us your list.
I wish you were right. I think you are wrong. I think Ryan is establishment GOPE RINO. I think he will absolutely call a vote on DACA. A vote can even be forced on 218 signatures ( I believe) and he may stage that to save face but that vote will occur within 2 days after the Democrat/RINO gut immigration in the Senate and pass DACA after Feb 8, I, like everyone else speculate, but unfortunately that is my opinion.
I think a better question would be how does a man who made 11 billion dollars negotiating with sharks negotiate the wall?
Just watch, we’re going to get the wall and odds are against DACA.
Negotiating with sharks in the private sector is very different from with sharks in the swamp. In the private sector there are legal penalties for falsifying contracts. In the swamp, lying by Dems is protected by the swamp media. PDJT is probably getting better each day in dealing with the elites of the swamp.
I agree, it probably is very different.
But I will bet that Trump is having the time of his life!
