ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. A 9-year-old girl unwittingly ate, and handed out to other classmates, THC-laced candy, school officials said. The girl brought the candies to school last Thursday and said she could not see...The student who brought them to school did not know they were medicinal...

“Medicinal?” No need for the FDA any more? Shut it down?
yeah... medicinal candy..
what a joke.
“A friend with weed is a friend indeed!”
Yep, medicinal. Yeah, right!
>>yeah... medicinal candy..what a joke.
Really? Chocolate-flavored laxatives, cherry-flavored cough syrup, medicines in fruity suspension for people who can’t take pills? Medicinal candy is nothing new. Every hear “a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down”?
We should all thank God she didnt get hold of any Tide pods. /s
Just a spoon full of sugar helps the cannabis go down, the cannabis go down, the cannabis go down.
Just a spoon full of sugar helps the cannabis go down, in the most delightful way.
Agree - we should put “medicinal” in quotes.
I’m in my 70s with bad arthritis; most of the people going into the Colorado MJ shops are 20-something n’er do well dopers. Medicine, my a$$...
Kind of young for “high” school.
There is a medical marijuana shop near me which sells a medication called “purple train wreck”.
Uh huh.
“They that sow the wind, shall reap the whirlwind”,
“yeah... medicinal candy..what a joke”
They make gummies and chewable versions of nearly all common meds. They also make pills from cannabis. All the meds have standardized doses on the box. Some people simply hate swallowing pills and the snack versions are no less medical.
Note that doctors in all 50 states can legally prescribe deadly opiods far stronger and more addictive than heroin. They can even give pure METH for “attention deficit”. To CHILDREN in any quantity they deem necessary.
Yet cannabis is federally outlawed even with a doctor’s prescription. It has zero toxicity and has never caused overdose or injury. Zero damage even to animals given impossible doses in a lab setting. Things like Advil and Aspirin are infinitely more toxic than any dose of cannabis and kill people all the time. Yet anyone can buy gallons of them without oversight.
Cannabis prohibition is purely done for profit. It is no way about “society”, “safety” or any such rubbish
I fully support legalized recreational marijuana but with increased freedom comes increased responsibility. This stuff looks just like candy. Stupid stoner parents can't just leave it around for their kids to take any more than gun owners can leave loaded weapons lying around for children to pick up and shoot.
Leave a loaded firearm lying around and a child shoots someone with it and you're going to go to prison. Same should be the case here.
That the name of a strain of cannabis. It does have specific medicinal benefits and is used for pain relief, lowering stress, treating depression and insomnia.
Yeah, that’s it. Medicinal. Uh, huh.
As marijuana becomes legal in each state, its going to become more and more of an issue, I believe, Del Curto said.
You are in favor handing out marijuana “candy” to children?
Willow Trees are properly called Salix as a latin name for the flora. Originally, aspirin was derived from willow bark.
They didn’t call their medicine Willow. They didn’t call their medicine Salix. They didn’t get clever and call it Weeper’s Remedy.
They came up with a nice, respectable medicinal name: “aspirin”.
If the medical marijuana people cannot come up with a better name than “purple train wreck” for their medication, then I am not going to take them seriously, and I will think of their stuff as recreational stuff sold as medicine to 10% of their customers and as a Good Time Drug sold to 90% of their “sick” customers.
Marketing can work For you or it can work Against. you. If you sell “purple train wreck” as a medicine, then I laugh at you.
“It has zero toxicity and has never caused overdose or injury.”
Soros is proud of you, puppet.
