Senate Democrats on Friday night blocked passage of a month-long stopgap spending bill to keep the government funded past midnight, leaving less than two hours to find a path forward before much of the government was set to shut down.

We need to remind people of this constantly when election time rolls around.
Yup, remember them well. Everyone thinking we were not going to get paid, but we did. Never waivered, the checks came, we cashed them, Mama went to the commissary, kids went to school, we went to the field, nothing changed. It was Germany, it was cold, it rained, it snowed, we whined, we gripped, but life went on!!! Remember them very well. Have a good one brother in arms.

Bring up a military and DHS funding bill ONLY.

As for the rest of the government it can and SHOULD be SHUT DOWN FOREVER,
obama was so desperate he had fences around monuments to stop veterans seeing memorials, and the media still blamed it on the republicans. Then the ignorant , uninformed masses called liberals just sat there, went on facebook , and repeated the media talking points.
Of course if you asked them a question they were clueless.
They want the government to close down in order to get illegals who have broken the law legal whilst hurting the military.
That in itself speaks volumes about anyone, and the rat party today.
I hope the President does a prime time speech on all the airwaves to the American people stating this.

My Marine son is about to ship out, as well as his unit to S Korea, and now will be affected by this, and all because the Democrats want to make illegals legal in order to get their votes , in order for these scumbags to stay in power whilst hurting my son, the military, and the country.

Realistically, I think if it was close Dem votes would have shifted.
From my point of view the Senators in both parties look bad - at this point they have devolved to debating 3 week vs. 4 week extensions when they should be debating the content of the bills, and actually draw up and pass a budget, instead of playing a game.
Oh, nose! Now how will all those deep staters get their paychecks?
Hope they run on this. November is going to be an interesting month.
