After taking the oath of office a year ago, President Donald Trump turned west to offer a preview of his presidency. From this moment on, its going to be America first, he declared from the Capitol steps.
To many Californians, however, Trumps turbulent first year in office has felt as if its come with a different mantra: California last.

No we are not. We hate what illegal immigration has done to our communities, we in sub one million dollar homes like the tax plan, we don't drive Teslas, people in Fresno don't give a frick about off shore oil, we are outraged that H-1B workers are taking our jobs, but we are feeling more alienated from the elitist false media.
Nope, you’re the very elite rich crowd that you the media claim to be against.
As it should be, and I live here.
Much as I don’t like losing tax deductions under the tax bill I still enjoy the thought of those rich libs in NYS and CA losing theirs, and Dems whining about it.
not every area in California is part of the banana republic Cali is setting up. Just like every blue state most of the map shows red except for pockets of heavily populated blue cities and surrounding suburbs.
Well let’s hope California splinters into 2 states as some in the states are trying to do.
Given the recent news of “New California” initiative, where the rest of the state is removing itself from the coastal counties from LA to SF, I don’t think that entire state feels alienated from America. Rather the are alienated from Sacramento, LA and SF.
California’s policy conflicts with Trump’s policy.
He says: “America First”.
They say: “Mexico First”.
You live in Fresno? Me too, neighbor!
I myself, would welcome an invasion of California by real America.
I would go all Wolverine on the hippies' ass, behind enemy lines and whatnot.
They set themselves up as anti-American. So they can’t be surprised that we agree.
Why can illegal aliens vote in California you ask. Well a combination of laws allowing voter registration at DMV and illegals to get drivers licenses.
Well lets hope California splinters into 2 states
It wont happen. Congress would have to approve it and the Senate is not going to give the Left Coast two more Senators.
Article IV, Section 3, Clause 1
Admittedly they have a tough road to travel, however, we can still hope they travel it successfully. Now if California were to secede like Virginia did, then that road might become a tad bit easier. 8>)
“It wont happen. Congress would have to approve it and the Senate is not going to give the Left Coast two more Senators.”
Okay, how about this.
VA and WV reunite.
We give NORVA (Northern VA) to Maryland.
We then let California split.
That will lose 2 Senators in the east and gain two in the west.
Total of 50 is maintained.
Hey, it’s my wet dream. No need to wake me prematurely. :-P
Here’s my dream: Combine all 6 states in New England into one state and call it New England. That would reduce rat Senators by 10!
Dear California,
It’s time for a divorce so get some balls and pass articles of secession and put your cards on the table. Get MoonBeam to sign it and become President of California. Get Europe to recognize you and join NATO immediately. Lease back all military bases to the USA. Float a bond to buy your way out of the US debt. Do it now you cowards. I will back you all 100%. Now GTHOOMC
God bless you. One of my best buds lives on a 20 acre mountain top outside SanJuan CA. There are many fine conservatives in CA, we in the red states are fully aware. If things get bad we have more room.
What’s changed in California since Trump was elected? Seems mostly the same.

Yep, they are way over represented and in a position to hogtie the majority of the country.
Truth be told, California is alienating itself own damn self with its continued idiocy, Casey Tolan.......
