...towards 51st state.
A group called (New California) has taken its first step towards carving the Golden State in two issuing a declaration of independence which would incorporate most of the states rural counties while coastal counties from the northern San Francisco Bay Area to the southern tip of Los Angeles would remain part of the existing state.
[snip]One of New Californias pamphlets reads:
The current state of California has become governed by a tyranny, which rivals those stated above. It is time to take action. The Duty of the People who are suffering the long train of abuses and usurpations at the hands of a tyrannical government is to abolish and make new a government by the People and for the people under GOD. State Splitting Process of California The process begins when a states legislature first votes to split the state. Once the measure, in the form of a resolution, passes both the California Assembly and Senate, it is submitted to Congress.
New California State is being developed as the 51st State of the Union as a state split from California following Article IV Section 3 and Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution.

“I can see much of Washington State doing the same.”
Take a look at my home state, Minnesota.
If you were to carve away the inner cities of Minneapolis/St Paul plus the first ring suburbs, Minnesota becomes a GOP-leaning state.
Sure there are a few Dem-leaning areas in the outstate (Austin, Mankato and the Iron Range) but as a whole, we could definitely elect more Republicans statewide.
The State of Jefferson
They could deport any illegal entering their state.
Totally agree, Steve.
Minnesota is a Conservative state, with 4 socialist S#$thole enclaves. Mpla., St.Paul, Rochester, and Duluth.
Trouble is, Conservatives go to work each day, and Socialists run for office.
Too late for a peaceful breakup. Most of the southen half of the state is being occupied by mexican nationals, making it an occupied protectorate of mexico. The middle is full of far leftist socialist-democrats. The northern part is full of socialist-democrats running away from the shithole mess that they created in the south.
Best chance, revert the state back to territory under federal control.
Secession isn’t an option.
“First step. Whats the next step?”
Arrest all the appropriate democrats. And then the third...and final...step.
Art IV Sec 3 Clause 1
If a State were acting within the confines of the Constitution, I would agree.
When a State ceases to do so, all bets are off. I am sure that you agree that The People do have the Natural Right to throw off the chains of an over-bearing government.
Ergo, Congress has the power to recognize the establishment of a new state and the Courts are out of it?
If so, good. Then it is more possible.
The dude interviewed actually mentioned the splitting of Virginia and hopes it goes that way...
Ditch San Diego County or you just give two more senate seats to the libs.
A lot of stuff done by Lincoln should not have been allowed.
"In 1819, Massachusetts agreed to permit secession, sanctioned by voters of the rapidly growing region the following year."
“Unconstitutional....WV being created by Lincoln should not have been allowed.”
HAHA, ok, it’ll never happen.
Preempt states on Bill of Rights--1st, 2nd amendments, etc. Don't let California arrest people for speaking ill of people, nor let them deny US citizens right to bear arms.
Secure end to sanctuary cities and states via carrot & stick. Cut off funding, arrest them.
Implement eVerify and eliminate jobs for illegal aliens.
End H1B and other programs, force California companies to hire Americans.
Create change and success, people will flock to Republicans and conservatives when they see improvements.
Stay focused and not delve into social conservative issues. They are important but initially more distraction than helpful.
Anyway, these will all help fix and liberate California. A constructive approach with results makes more sense than tilting at windmills that are never going to happen.
I’ve seen the map and it sure as hell isn’t “conservative.”
