Hey there, radu!

Yep...still kind of chilly, but gradually warming up before it will cool down again. The roller coaster is still running! Right now it’s 35...feels like 26. South Texas had snow, ice, slick dangerous roads and all we had was dry cold. I guess we were the lucky ones. LOL!

LOL, this Wal Mart is pretty tame but it is interesting watching folks, as I do as I work.

Hint: Yoga pants should NOT be worn by everybody! And I also see some interesting adult pajamas worn, LOL!

I saw where Houston had black ice on their roads and lots of wrecks. Watched the band of wintry stuff move along the coast. It was just moving into the Ft. Walton Beach area when I turned of the computer this morning so I suppose my step-mother had an icy wake-up.

I know y’all need the moisture but be glad you missed out on this mess.

Good evening, radu...what a great picture!

Hope you are getting some relief from your cold.

They say the streets are BAD. High 30s and rain today. Now in the 20s.

Just about ready to try to get home. Maybe the main streets will be not too bad.

Sounds a lot like our Wal Mart, though there's a guy who did make the site. I've never seen him because he's there early in the morning.

But there are plenty who shop when I do who should NOT wear yoga pants. And too many in their jammie britches. *shaking head in disgust*

Hey there, Kathy.

No relief from the cold today. MAYBE a little tomorrow but we’ll see. The weekend is supposed to be decent but it’s still a few days away.

Be careful going home! The streets are probably sheets of ice by now with the recent rain and now plunging temps.

I am glad we didn’t get all that mess. There were enough wrecks around here, even though there was little ice. Doesn’t take much ice for us to have wrecks...we’re stupid in bad weather. LOL! Believe it or not, this area has massive traffic due to oil field equipment trucks. Lots of backed up traffic during rush hour.

Shoo, there are a lot of idiots around here who can’t drive when it rains! LOL! They’re much worse when it sleets or snows. That’s why I just stay home, out of harm’s way.

Hubby said they had the snow plow out on the highway today but they don’t bother doing anything to side roads. There wasn’t any melt today so I don’t know what our road is like. IF the temp gets above freezing tomorrow, it’ll be in the afternoon and our meeting is in the late morning. I’ll attempt to go.

I’ll see what the road is like when I pull out to the end of the driveway. Can’t tell a thing from the house because it’s set .1 of a mile from the road.

I made it home safely...only a couple slick spots and I was ready for them as the car in front of me did the “icy dance”.

The meeting will just be a normal one. I think you’re thinking about the chili supper tomorrow evening that I mentioned a couple of days ago. I’m not planning to go to that after all. DesJarlais isn’t going to be able to be there after all due to all the stuff going on in DC right now. He was the only reason I’d planned to go.

YAY!!! I was wondering if you’d have trouble getting home. I took a peek at several of the cams around town and the streets look mighty icy.

Good that you had someone ahead of you to give you warnings with their “icy dances”. LOL

Ah. I’m sorry he can’t be there, but with the weather like it is, you’re probably relieved that you don’t have to get out. I sure would be!

Hope he can reschedule at a better time.

To be honest, I was surprised when they said he’d be here. I couldn’t see him leaving DC early with so much going on.

He’ll be around plenty through the year, though, so I’ll run in to him before long.

And yes, I’m not real thrilled about getting out after dark tomorrow with the streets the way they are. No telling how much melt we’ll get tomorrow and any wet spots will turn to ice again.

It’ll be better when it warms up. I wonder what things he’s working on in DC. If he helped pass that tax cut, give him my thanks. :)
