Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen confirmed Tuesday that her department has asked federal prosecutors to see if they can lodge criminal charges against sanctuary cities that refuse to cooperate with federal deportation efforts.
The Department of Justice is reviewing what avenues may be available, Ms. Nielsen told the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Her confirmation came after Californias new sanctuary law went into effect Jan. 1, severely restricting cooperation the state or any of its localities could offer.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Tom Homan says those policies put his officers and local communities at more risk because they have to arrest illegal immigrants out in the community.
Mr. Homan told The Washington Times last July that he wanted to see local officials charged as complicit in human smuggling if they shielded illegal immigrants through sanctuary policies.

Oh yes...aiding an illegal is very much against the law. They absolutely can arrest those doing it- the question is will they? I would love to see it but we have such a habit of ignoring our own immigration laws that I am sure bleeding hearts and liberal judges will figure out how to make it not happen.

Very characteristic behavior. The feet always moving...it’s in their DNA; if that was water, he’d be *washing* the food with those paws.
Those little feet, never stop. Sensitive paws are wired to its pea-brain, sending messages, :)

They started tossing around the word "shithole" after Project Veritas published video of Twitter executives bragging how they censored "shitty people," AKA conservatives.
Haven't heard one word about Project Veritas/Twitter in the fakestream media, have we? That's because they buried it in a "shithole."

“classic obstruction of justice and aiding and abetting a felon in flight”
Magistrate Monica Herranz of Portland Oregon is a good example of a government scofflaw in action.
Assisting an illegal alien charged with DUI to evade ICE which was waiting for him to appear from her court, she violated state and federal law, ethical canons and presumably her attorneys’ oath.
The Multnomah county bar ass’n? `She did nothing wrong.’ The left has a right to their own opinions, but not to their own law and facts.

Trump, according to the Rahmfather (Mayor Nine-and-a-Half), is not allowed into Chicago and by extension this includes any Trump agency. I hope there is an attempt and follow-through by Trump’s DoJ.

Just look at all the wasted time and political gymnastics that have played out over the past decade or so over this illegal activity that has always been a Federal felony. Even Sessions, who is a lawyer and judge, pussy footed around for a year with his plan to withhold federal funding as a means to cajole the liberal felonious alien harborors into compliance. Sooner or later with these incorrigibles you have to lower the hammer to get their attention.

Arrest them. Exile them if they complain or resist.
