We have an update on the previous thread, which I'll link below. Trump denied saying "sh*thole" in the meeting, Dick Durbin came out and said Trump said it:
In the course of his comments, [President Trump] said things which were hate-filled, vile and racist, Sen. Dick Durbin says of sh*thole countries comments. He said these hate-filled things and he said them repeatedly. http://cbsn.ws/2mngMu4
Of course, he then dramatized it to the extreme:
"The most disheartening thing to me is, my belief that, that was the first time words that hateful have been spoken in the Oval Office of the White House," Sen. Dick Durbin says http://cbsn.ws/2mngMu4
However, he said that Lindsey Graham was in the meeting and stood up to Trump and that other Republicans told him they didn't like Trump's words:
NEW: "Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina spoke up and made a direct comment on what the president said. I was very proud of him. It took courage for what he did," Sen. Dick Durbin says, firing back at Pres. Trump's denial of "sh*thole countries" comment

Jake Tapper went and then talked to Flake who never misses an opportunity to trash Trump but apparently who wasn't in the meeting:
Sen. @JeffFlake to me just now:
"The words used by the president -- as related to me directly following the meeting by those in attendance -- were not 'tough,' they were abhorrent and repulsive. There is no good explanation."
Flake tells me before the @washingtonpost broke the story, he was told of the comments by @SenatorDurbin and a GOP Senator who attended the Oval Office meeting . 2/
Flake said he was told what CNN reported: that the president referred to African countries as "shithole countries," and of Haitians asked Why do we need more Haitians? Take them out - meaning take them out of the deal.
See this thread:
So how and why is President Trump denying the remarks that he reportedly said?
I have some clarifying reporting from a source familiar the meeting. I want to start by saying that this does not make what he said any more acceptable, but it might shed some light on it all. 1/
The president did not refer to Haiti as a shithole country according to the source familiar with the meeting though he DID say it about countries in Africa...
What happened, the source says, is there was a conflation of two different remarks by the president. 2/
First, when talking about temporary protected status countries as part of the immigration deal it was mentioned that Salvadorans, Hondurans and Haitians have that status. 3/
Haitians? the president said. Why do we need more Haitians? Take them out - meaning take them out of the deal. 4/
Then in a separate part of the conversation when they were referencing the diversity visa lottery, President Trump referred to people coming from Africa as coming from shithole countries.
Again, Im not saying this is better. Just that this is what happened, per my source. 5/
6/ So that might explain the kinda-pushback from POTUS today. -fin-
That was Jake Tapper. The White House didn't deny the statements last night, and it doesn't help that meeting was full of some Republicans who are conservative and like Trump (Graham likes Trump despite their disagreements) and who haven't come to his defense. Now would be the time for them to come forward.
Look, I don't like the term and have said that, but if he said it, he said it. It's best just to admit to it because denying it and getting rebuffed just gives you double the problem. The best thing to do is issue a statement immediately via Twitter or the White House clarifying his comments. It's not good to give the media a full night to call you racist without rebuttal.
The key to such a meeting is to assume the Democrats/RINOs will leak the whole thing to the press. Watch everything you say and possibly have someone video the meeting or record it so there is no deniability.
So Flake wasnt in the meeting

This.
And we know now who ran to the press like a lil bitch. Durbin.
The Swamp People can’t win at the ballot box with the electorate as presently constituted, so they simply work to change the electorate. What an elegant solution to their dilemma.

Pretty much.
These people don’t get that Trump supporters believe exactly what Trump believes about these third-world countries. Politically incorrect statements like these will serve to strengthen his base.
Trump is like the kid who screamed out the truth that the Emperor had no clothes. He’s just stating what EVERYONE, including the Rats, knows, but are too intimidated to say.
Flake, Durbin, prime examples of socialist/fascist shitbags.
FOAD you two arseheads.
Did Flake say he isn’t running for re-election?
It has also been a primarily black, free nation for over 200 years. They have thrown away their chances at freedom and prosperity in favor of the tribal bullcrap practiced by their slave ancestors who established the country by overthrowing and slaughtering the French rulers.
If it is a shithole then it is one created wholly by it’s black inhabitants over many years.
Senator Dandruff was TOLD by DeTurbin? What a useless piece of Bandini.
Was DJT’s choice of the words ‘shi*hole’ regrettable? Yes! Was it hate filled? No! Was it wrong? No!
For any that disagree concerning the last two comments, they need to ask, ‘why do people wish to migrate to the US?’. ALL living things move to locations that are less harmful. Place a hot pipette beside even a single-celled organism and it will try to move away from that thing of danger. Human beings, most of whom are sentient (though some leftists, I’m not so sure), even more so!
When we WILFULLY make a change, be it a job, a city, a country, etc., we do it because we feel it is BENEFICIAL to us and our family. Why do so many people from Africa, Haiti and El Salvador (to name just a few places), choose to immigrate (legally or illegally) to the US? Is it because the US is a worse place that their country? Obviously not (except to a leftist)!
Trump is correct, though his choice of word could have been better, in my opinion.
They just don't like anybody saying so out loud.
President Trump is receiving blowback for simply saying it like it is.
So what if Trump said it. It is a Sh*thole. And it is one because of the Clintons and other liberals turned it into one.
What’s flake got to lose by going along with lying dims? And I think this costs Trump nothing and actually reinforces and expands his base.
Anyone who believes ANYTHING these two Azzhats say is short bus material.
RAT Flake, all I needed to know when I saw this article...
Speaking of sh**holes.... Durbin and Flake are about as useless as taste buds on a sh**hole
So, all this uproar because the president said something truthful. “In an age of almost universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act”.
