...and that any conversion therapy is frowned upon.
You know you’ve lived a comfortable live when you have a BA in painting . . .
Well, I recall reading an interview with Tammy Bruce in which she said that the most racist and sexist and homophobic comments she ever heard during her days as an actress and NOW type in Los Angeles came from people who professed to be liberal Democrat types.
>>>>>>>Yup. I know quite a few gay conservatives. There is faux-tolerant, and there is tolerant.

I would argue that you may know a few gay Republicans, bot not gay conservatives.
This guy said his family was ecstatic when he came out as gay. I cannot imagine being happy when someone I cared turned out to have the bad wiring and all that it means. Ecstatic seriously?
Adam Levine?..............From The Voice?...............
Celebrate diversity, except of opinion
The left loves minorities, women, and gays, unless they’re conservative/Republican.
“””””Im still in the closet, sort of. Im sure many of others in here are in similiar situation as I am due to our jobs.”””
My wife works for the gubmint. It has been that way for many years. If you are a Republican you keep your mouth shut.
Sexual preference is one thing, small-government is another. People arrive at ‘gay’ in various ways. You can be gay and conservative, as opposed to RINO.
“A degree in painting, eh? Good, I have a shed out back that could use a coat or two. Come on over.”
Reminds mme of the blonde joke about a man who was trying to help out a single blonde mother.
He gave her money and supplies to paint his porch in the back of the house.
Sooner than he was expecting she came around to the front of the house to say: “I’m all done!”
He mentioned that she was very fast and wanted to see the final, finished product...
She replied: “There was so much paint left over I painted your Lexus, too!”
“Seeing virtue (or perhaps just a lack of evil) in my compatriots finally allowed me to see it in myself. I am now certain that I can be a gay, Jewish Republican and still be a good person and a useful citizen.”
This shouldn’t be a profound awakening for anybody in America. How sad that his corrupted family and “friends” are to blame for his warped thinking. I can’t imagine walking around ceaselessly assuming the worst in other people.
Glad he could finally break through darkness into the light.
“... a gay, Jewish Republican
Talk about a minority group...”
Was he the black entertainer with the one eye?
They may just have been trying to be supportive and not reject him.
I’m not gay or republican and I’ve still be ghosted by a few (former) friends. They were unable to tolerate any discussion of political issues that was contrary to their own lefty dogma. Their loss, not mine.
BTW I know many closeted gay republicans. Of course they are “out” on their gay status but closeted on their party affiliation except to like-minded folks. Then again, this goes for pretty much everyone here in California that doesn’t have a commie party membership.
The guy also has a Masters in Economics from the London School of Economics and is a small businessman trying to make it in LA. Those two things will tend to open anyone’s eyes. And what this article is really about is that he learned that questioning the Narrative Of Intolerance will run you head-on into the real thing. You leave the Democrat playpen at your own risk.
without reading the article, it seems this bloke is from the Northeast US.

I was recently ghosted at a family event by someone I am related to by marriage.
I don’t even this woman but at this gathering she ignored me completely - pretended I wasn’t there. I did not exist.
When I quietly brought this up to my sister she explained that this woman was warned I was a Conservative and had voted for Trump. This was her reaction. I’d not experienced that before but really didn’t care.
Still very odd behavior.
The perpetual temper tantrum from the left never ends.
“Therapy” is too feeble a word to describe the necessary spiritual journey.
It’s like a deep, deep ingrown meanness. The habituee needs to traverse a spiritual journey through which all the meanness becomes evident and then is overcome through God’s power. Before it’s over they will know what hand to hand combat with Satan is like.
Ghosting is weird. I had a gal working the counter of a donut shop give me a pack of obvious lies once.
