Washington (CNN) Former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney was treated for prostate cancer over the summer, a source close to Romney told CNN Monday.
"He was treated surgically by Dr. Thomas Ahlering at UC Irvine Hospital in California," the source said. "His prognosis is good; he was successfully treated." The source did not provide additional details.
A Romney aide added that the cancer was removed surgically and found not to have spread beyond the prostate.
Romney, the 70-year-old former governor of Massachusetts, is being widely encouraged to run for Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch's seat this year. Hatch announced last week he would retire from the Senate. Romney spoke to President Donald Trump over the phone Thursday, a White House official confirmed to CNN. Details of their conversation have not been released.

oh....good for him...i guess...
hopefully he will see the light and let a younger, healthier person run for that job then
He has a prostate?
I hope they removed the stick while they were at it.
Not anymore (surgery), or just barely (radiation).
I wish him a long healthy life...as a private citizen.
as someone who worked very hard for Romney when he got the 2012 nomination, I am tremendously disappointed in his attitude and statements in recent years, especially regarding our president now.
he does not deserve any R nomination, imho, and i pray he will now retire as gracefully as he can
“Mitt Romney treated for prostate cancer over the summer; prognosis is good”
And thats bad.

“I hope they removed the stick while they were at it.”
And his head up the old canal.
“hopefully he will see the light and let a younger, healthier person run for that job then”
And someone that doesn’t want to destroy another health care system and do a bunch of gun control.
He is still a “used BMW dealer” except now he lost his O ring.
May he recuperate, in solitude, for a long time.
Rudy bowed out of a Senate run, for the same diagnosis, IIRC.
“He has a prostate?”
Garmies to tight..those things need to free range.
They may have fixed his prostate but hes still a dick.
Sure hopes that he makes out better than I did six years ago. Radiation fried my colon tissue, need annual colonoscopy to cauterize tissue to reduce extreme blood loss. My junk is totally dead!
Good luck Mitt!
How unfortunate.
“Good luck Mitt!”
No, good luck to you.
