FALMOUTH MA (AP) - Police say a father stabbed his family
(Excerpt) Read more at boston.com ...
I like Pits; I’ve owned several - never had any issue at all.
What dog does my family own now? Golden Retriever.
(that should speak volumes to people)
A “pit-bull terrier” is not a breed, it is a type. Like greyhounds. Just because it doesn’t use the name doesn’t mean it is not part of a group of similar dogs.
In AKC there are Staffordshire Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers. These 2 are the only remaining true “PBT” types recognized. However, Bull Terriers and Boston Terriers are also technically PBT types, but the evil has bee bred out of them. So too Bulldogs which are the basis of PBTs without the terrier tenacity - but they were still the basis of the nasty sport of bull-baiting (bulls are NASTY creatures). “Bully” breeds if you will, but some have been made reliable for 100 years or so.
If I know any Staffy is AKC-show oriented, I would trust it pretty well. But I don’t know on the surface - you’d have to show me proof.
Poor child. Prayers up.
Exactly.
HE should be charged with every child endangerment offense allowed under the law.
Agreed. Once you’re married and have a child,
you shouldn’t have to compensate for having a
small penis any more.
>>His gun was empty?
He was in Taxachusetts.
They choose these dogs specifically to intimidate the homies. They aren’t looking for a puppy.
Throw at least one parent in jail, and fine the other one bigly!! Idiots.
Here are the other 3; you can see the puppy is all grown up. A Heeler mix. She likes to lay on top of the back of the couch like Snoopy on his doghouse.
They are all so different but at the same time; very loyal and loving.
I have only known two people in my life that owned pit bulls. Both dogs were the most gentle, friendly, tail wagging creatures anyone could know or want to know. The idea of them turning on their masters or family members wasn't even a tiny blip on a SETI telescope.
Were they a danger to their families?
What traits are inherent in humans? The most common trait is aggression, which is why humans are the greatest killers on the planet.
I’ve never met a Black and tan coonhound that was aggressive to kids or older people. On the contrary, my hounds would die to protect their people. A lot of breeds will do that though. I love dogs, but I can’t stand pits.
“Pit Bulls are the breed of choice for lifes losers. On the wrong side of the socio-economic scale? Never set foot in a college? Less than a full set of teeth? No problem - get a Danger Dog and your status is restored!”
Do you have any idea how moronic your comment is?
What? That's your rebuttal to my comment in defense of Pit Bulls? Humans are dangerous too? Do you have any idea how moronic your comment is? ---> to quote another poster.
If you want both dogs and children, go with a Lab.
I was just stating a fact.
I am fully aware of your strong hatred of pits. I simply don’t share it. But, compared to humans, pits — hell, ANY animal — are cupcakes compared to humans.
I’ll put it this way: If I were alone and I was approached by a human stranger on one side and a pit on the other, I would fear the human more; and that is because I would not trust the human.
I’m 67, retired, and have lived a long life (well, by my standards, maybe not yours); I’ve been screwed over by humans far more often than I’ve been harmed by a dog (and, interestingly, I have NEVER been harmed by a pit, and I’ve been around them for years; I have, though, been bitten by yappy little shits that attack from out of nowhere).
Where do you get that? I never said anything about hating pit bulls. Maybe you are mistaken me for another poster on this thread. I have been very matter of fact and objective (not to mention civil) about the subject.
In fact, if I owned a junkyard, a recycling place, construction supply yard, etc., I might have a couple pit bulls that I kept at work. They make great guard dogs. They would probably make great military dogs too. I have only stated logical understanding and facts. They might be good on a farm to keep coyotes at bay.
My opinion is, families with children or in contact with children shouldn't have pit bulls. Otherwise they should be responsible to protect the public from them, as any dog owner should.
There is very little in life that I "hate". The dog doesn't know any better. I have nothing against the dog.
A measured response. Thank you. Pit bull haters get their hard on beating on pits. Pardon the crudity.
